A steam turbine power plant uses chemical energy from fuel to create heat energy through boiling water into steam in a boiler. The steam spins a turbine which powers a generator to produce electrical energy. The steam is then cooled back into water in a condenser before being circulated through the system again or used for other purposes like potable water.
