As the owner of a small construction company that opened doors at the onset of the largest economic bust in recent memory, I've been forced to be creative in pursuing any avenue to maintain revenue and cash flow. In 2008, I received my North Carolina General Contractor's License and built the first third-party certified green home in Macon County, NC.
