A compound eye is found in mollusks. arthropods annelids. flatworms. round worms Which
is NOT a true statement? All chordates are vertebrates All vertebrates are chordates. All
protochordates are invertebrates. Echinoderms and chordates are deuterostomes. sea squirts and
lancelets are invertebrates. What problem does multicellularity cause? The internal environment
can be variable. Cell activity must be coordinated. Each cell must perform many specialized
activities. Multi-celled organisms must be larger than single-celled organisms. A, B and C only.
Solution
1. Compound eye is found in arthropod their eye is quite different from vertebrate eye .
componds eyes are called as compound because they are made up of repeating units, the
ommatidia each of which function as a seperate visual receptor.
2.The characteristic features of the phylum, chordata include the presenc of a notochord and
paired pharyngeal gill slits. so in the sub phylum vertebratathe notochord present in embryos get
replaced by a cartilaginous column in adults. so we can say all vertebrates are chordates but all
chordates are not vertebrates.
