User personas
Our app is aimed at the mass market of school children, studying at the levels of key stage one, two
and three. We have decided to aim our app at this market due to the fact that we believe that key
stage one, two and three are more affected by the problem of not being able to adapt to a certain
style of learning, which is why this market would benefit strongly from this app. Also because, as
students studying at the key stage three level we appreciate the fact that those off a higher
schooling level may not have enough time to fit this app into their day to day life, therefore this app
would be ideal for those of a lower schooling level who have much more flexibility within their
school and personal life and would therefore may have enough time to use this app. School children
consists of several different characteristics e.g. being aged from about five to about fourteen, may
have a repetitive lifestyle of waking up, getting dressed, eating breakfast, going to school, studying
at school, attending an after school club, coming home, doing homework and watching TV. Our app
must be able to adapt to this age range and work around their lifestyle etc. However it must also be
able to bring a certain change to their schooling and personal lifestyle, and this change should
improve their academic performance and success. For example, our app must not re-enact a school
classroom (this may cause boredom and may cause users to be put off the app). It also must allow
users to experience a totally different attitude and environment to what they may experience within
a school classroom. For example, our app consists of several interactive features, bright colours,
gamification throughout the app, a rewards system etc. These features suit the user’s age, lifestyle
etc.
