I am anonoz, from imaginary school, a school that is established to teach a bunch of monkeys to become king kong\n
But we are having some difficulties here, we got complains, and people smudge us on facebook, twitter\n\nWhat the hell happened?\n
Our kids are bored in classroom, we dunno why, they are all sleepy and dont pay attention to the teachers\n
And their exam performance has plummeted, we were making our exam easier, like SPM. but less kids pass these exams these days.\n
And then our reputation dropped so hard that every video we posted to youtube got a like dislike bar like this one\n
We need a fix right now. But fix what? Cane the students? Take way their handphones? Put them into hunger games for not studying? We cannot put them into hunger games right?\n\nMaybe its our problem after al\n\nHow are supposed to fix this shit?\n
Therefore we need to conduct a research\n
But why do a research?\n
We need to fins out the root cause, troubleshoot what went wrong. And see if any corrective actions can be done\n
Then we can change our teaching methods to the better, getting rid of the old teaching method that no longer works and adapt the very way we teach so that it is super effective in gen y\n
And of course, we hope to have a boost in terms of students performance jn exams without having us lowerthe difficulty from veteran to hardened to regular to recruit\n
And finally, we hope that the public restored their faith on us. We need to fix our reputation. We also hope that people on youtube dont give us dislike button again\n
Coming back to research, what research do we want to do exactly?\n
To find out how generation y prefer to be taught or to learn, and since we have already done a few previous steps\n
Today we will do lit review.\n\nWhat is literature review?\n
\n\n
We chose article. 245 \nOur friend at APU Mr ragu sent 5 articles to begin with, though\n
So how are we supposed to define generation y?\nRace? Height? Weight? \nWe start with timeline, when are they born?\n
Since our research focuses on learning preferences we will pick some if the most relevant common gen y characteristics ti begin with\n
Point our classmates who play phone or laptop\n
Point our classmates who play phone or laptop\n
Point our classmates who play phone or laptop\n
First off, digital natives. Unlike the previous gen like gen x and baby boomers. We are born right into the digital world\n
\n\n
Kids these days cant get theirs hands off ipads huh\n
The fact that gen y are digital natives is stated in all articles chosen\n
From article 2, ...\n
\n\n
And secondly, they are always connected. Due to the high availability of digital devices and internet connectivity, gen y needs constant connection with friends and fanily\n

Stated in 2 and 5 but absent in article 4\n
\n\n
\n\n
And finally, they love achievements. Steam Achievements, xbox trophy, and gamers love ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED\n
This points only availablr in article 5\n
\n\n
So this is generation y in a nutshell, of course there are plenty of other characteristics that I didnt mention just now coz they are not that important and influential in how we determine the learning preferences of gen y\n
Now time for the some suggested solutions based on literature review.\n
Now we need to relate some suggested solutions to the data we got at the moment, for example, digital natives, they love tech ,we give them tech in classroom\n
Ipad as textbook, overhead projector, interactive elements\n
Take advantage of social networks to maximize the teaching fx!\n\n\n
And finally, if they love competition, give them.\nIf they love trophies, give them.\nIf they want hunger games, give them.\n
Thats all I want to say today so thank you.\nThanks to my groupmates for supplying the points and spotting bonuses for this presentation.\n
