Different Kinds of Cells and Their
Structure
This webQuest provides learners with all
the necessary information they need
connected with the topic concerning
prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. At the
end of this WebQuest the students should
be able to recognize the differences
between different kinds of cells, identify
the differences between animal and plant
cell.
We should be able to keep
pace with all the
contemporary science. We
should be aware of not only
the existence, but also
functions and structure of
living cells. The cell is a
fundamental aspect of life.
There are many different
kinds of cells, however. We
distinguish eukaryotic cells
and prokaryotic cells, animal
cells and plant cells, and so
on. In order to be able to
distinguish the differences
between different types of
cells, we have to learn how
they are built first, then move
on to their functions.
TASK 1
Find a picture of a
plant cell and animal
cell with the most
important
organelles..
(5 points)
TASK 2
Draw a comparative
chart to show
differences between
those two types of
cells (animal & plant).
Download format from
moodle.
(15 points)
TASK 3
Write the main
differences between
prokaryotic and an
eukaryotic cell. You can
make a comparative
chart (see samples on
moodle)
(15 points)
TASK 4
Read the article
about “Plant &
Animal Cell and
answer the
questions.
(15 points)
