The Uncommon Friends Foundation seeks to preserve historic artifacts and homes related to James and Eleanor Newton's uncommon friends from early 20th century American history. This includes the Burroughs Home in Fort Myers, Florida, built in 1901. For the holiday season, the Burroughs Home and nearby Langford Kingston Home are decorated as part of Holiday House, a tradition started in 1956 where the Fort Myers Women's Community Club decorates both homes for the event.
