https://worldanalysis.net/why-was-the-modern-olympics-created/
The modern Olympics were first held in 1896 in Athens, Greece. They began after
decades of increased interest in reviving the ancient games.
...The ultimate goals are to cultivate human beings, through sport, and contribute
to *world peace*.
… The Olympic symbol (the Olympic rings) expresses the activity of the Olympic
Movement and represents the *union of the five continents* and the meeting of
athletes from throughout the world at the Olympic Games.
… The five rings represent the five continents of the world that participate in “the
fruitful rivalries” of the Olympic Games.
… the five pillars of educational values:
1. Joy of Effort,
2. Fair Play,
3. Respect for Others;
4. pursuit of excellence; and
5. balance between body, will and mind.

of implementing a program of practical glocal holistic, Humanitarian
Entrepreneurial education and training (and related regenerative infrastructure)
that will allow local populations in every country to acquire the survival skills that
they need (based on remote learning and virtual collaboration) and that are most
relevant to their individual local needs, as per local considerations, in service of
implementing and achieving the Global Goals (SDGs), leaving no one behind.

4. 00:48:39 Lisa-Anice Sutphen: The community partnership system for sport is a
process that has been used for over 140 years in North/South America and most of
the EU. By bringing sport into community programs, we broaden the base of
practice beyond just those who can afford it in the city schools. This extends the
reach of the sport, and the partner system keeps it honest.

00:52:48 Lloyd Helferty: Which country will host 2028 Olympics?
*Los Angeles* … Is the "community partnership system for sport" already being
applied / implemented in Los Angeles?
… We would like to have a "Bubble Fun Sports" event for young people as a "side
event" during the upcoming Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028 so we can
bring attention to ALL of the programs that we are doing to help achieve a future
Regenerative Economy that Leaves No One Behind..

So true about swimming...
"As soon as they Crawl they Must Swim"
--
P.S. I as a bit shocked that so many people in Taiwan can't swim -- even though
they are an island! -- because it is not part of the culture and the parents never
teach their children to swim... so adults never grow up teaching their children to
swim either.
02:05:16 Lisa-Anice Sutphen:
That was what took me to the Y. I learned to swim at the age of 3
02:05:36 Gemma Garcia: this is very comprehensive, and offers many insights
for knowing more about culture of Sports, over an extensive geographical area, in
Africa. thank you:-)

Proposal from Feb 2022:
The "Bubble Fun Soccer" events for Children and Families...was suggested as a
(sub) "Project" of the "UnityNet Culture and Diversity" Network.
A suggestion was made in February to establish "Professional *Women's* Soccer
Leagues" in both Canada and South Africa and where we would have needed
"Corporate Sponsorship" to make that happen, and where we can work together in
order to engage in a dialogue with the Global *UNGC Corporations* in order to
secure the Corporate Sponsorships that we both need in order to achieve our
respective outcomes, and where the (new) Canadian and South African Soccer
Leagues could also continuously promote a "Bubble Soccer" League for kids in
marginalized communities in the rest of Africa and around the world.
02:29:18 Lloyd Helferty:
As I wrote at the time:
We should dream to create a "Global Bubble Soccer League" and some super-fun
"competitions" that "kids of all ages" can engage in these "Bubble Fun" events in
all of the local communities.
--
As well, we should be working hand in hand with the members of the "UnityNet
Children and Youth Network" as well, which is being led by:
Patrick Ulemu Nkhoma and Tina Genevieve Ezabella Costa who are both from
UnityNet Malawi.
