Our mission was to develop a viable project to take place in the city of Trencin (Slovakia).
So we decided to create the International Week of Trencin aiming to get some international relevance to the city and improving the Erasmus experience as well as the International Mobility department of the Alexander Dubcek University of Trencin.
3. MAIN OBJECTIVE
Create an international week in Trencin
where foreign students can present their
countries.
It will give the chance of local people to
learn more about various countries and
nations.
4. PARTIAL OBJECTIVES
Have national parties with different
themes every night.
Make Trencin more popular around
Slovakia and Europe.
Help the economy of the city and its
university.
5. Namestie huge square.
Most popular place for big events
10 minutes by walk from the train-bus
station.
Public transport has very good
connections in this part of Trencin.
WHERE?
6. PROGRAM
5 days, every day will be devoted to a
different country.
First year: 4 nationalities- Spain, Portugal,
Lithuania, Bulgaria; 5th day for Slovakia.
Daily activities: presentations,
performances, national meals and national
parties.
7. EVERY DAY…
Starts at 11:00 AM with a presentation of
the country.
Then, the participants are going to show a
lot of interesting and unique things about
their nations.
Show typical dances and rituals, national
music and other astonishing features.
8. AND LATER…
Option to have lunch at the stalls situated
in the enclosure.
At 8:00 PM, people can take sit in an
improvised restaurant to have a typical
dinner.
Every single night there will be a national
party where the visitors would be able to
feel the national party spirit till midnight.
9. HOW MUCH?
Tickets will be for sale one month and a
half before the start of the week.
Diferent categories of pricing:
Children below 12- 1.5 euros a day.
Students- 3 euros a day.
Adults- 5 euros a day.
Retired people- 3 euros a day.
Buy weekly ticket = one day for free.

Publicity media will talk about the festival.
12. AVERAGE BUDGET
470.000 € aprox.
Most of it will be covered by the
sponsors (460.000 €), the rest will be
covered by the sale of the tickets.
We expect to earn 510.000 €
▪ 30.000 € benefit
13. WHAT ABOUT THE
BENEFITS?
From those 30.000 €, 10.000 € will be
for us (as owners of the idea).
And the other 20.000 € will be for the
municipality of Trencin.
