In the case study Appropriate Punishment Versus Political Expediency, nine African American male
teenagers were severely punished for their involvement in a violent altercation at a high school
football game. Some people in the local community; especially the African American population
became outraged by the school board's ruling. Other community members, including many white
residents, and school board officials thought the punishment was just. This situation exposes many
controversial issues occurring within the educational system. Topics such as race relations and

Currently, the people most affected by the death penalty are overwhelmingly from minority groups,

A Research Study On Psychology
On April 20, 2016, I shadowed Morgan on 7E, which was an eventful day full of thought–provoking
and noteworthy patient interactions and child life centered conversations. Through my shadowing
experience and observations, I gained knowledge on how to appropriately prioritize patients, how to
expand my charting techniques, how to provide support through normative play experiences, and
much more. This week I was able to reflect back to my knowledge of development so that I could
better relate our coursework to my practicum experiences. In this journal, I will focus on one main
patient interaction, which was unique, thought provoking, and relatable to developmental theory and
coursework. I will also briefly discuss the knowledge I gained from the Clinical Issues Meeting that
I attended.
The first interaction I observed/participated in was with a 13–year–old male who was coping with
weight loss regardless of his G–tube feedings. Morgan and I initially met the patient at the bedside
where his mother was present. Morgan allowed me to introduce child life services as we assessed
the patient's coping. Originally, I introduced services by getting onto the patient's level. I introduced
myself and Morgan, explained our roles, and that Morgan would be able to provide him with
developmentally appropriate play materials, support, and provide information about the hospital.

Prime Minister Honorable Dean Barrow said that the year 2015 would be the year of technology
(Channel 5 Belize, 2014). As a result, on the month of February 2015, the Government issued 9,000
tablets to tertiary level students and as well provided free access to Wi–Fi in each park of the
country's municipalities. In addition, the Prime Minister also said that with the help of Koreans they
are making plans towards building a Technology University in Belmopan. It all sounds great, but
there are still plenty of drawbacks. Belize is second to lowest in Broadband Internet speed in the
Caribbean (Channel 5 Belize, 2015). As reported by a survey made by the International issues from
a Caribbean Perspective (ICT PLUS), Belize heads the list with the highest prices but lowest
download speed. Moreover, as reported in Forbes website when it comes to technology, Belize is
"currently dicey". The article goes on stating that "Belize has DSL but it isn't always easy to get,
service isn't that reliable and data speeds are relatively slow particularly against European
