WelcomHotel Sheraton New Delhi recently organised the age old ceremony of cake mixing . Evoking the bonhomie of Christmas time, Mrs Benita Sharma, Area Manager, Golden Triangle and General Manager, WelcomHotel Sheraton New Delhi addressed and welcomed around 150 ladies by thanking them for their continued support and appreciation of Sheraton New Delhi Hotel. Cake mixing is a tradition of mixing dry fruits with spices and liquor well in advance before Christmas so that the ingredients can develop a distinct aroma and flavour. The mixture which comprises of chopped raisins, glazed red cherries, pistachios, walnuts, tutti-frutti, black currants, dates, dried apricots and figs was mixed with spices such as ground green cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, mace with endless bottles of spirits like red wine, cognac, rum and whiskey will be allowed to soak for a few weeks and kept away before baking into cakes and puddings. Ladies enthusiastically donned chef hats, aprons and gloves and participated in the festive fervour.
