OBJECTIVE OF THE FAMILY
The Family
Natural and fundamental group unit of society which is
entitled to protection by society and the state. It is a
social grouping that is based on kinship.
Definition
the family acts as the first group of people with whom
the human being born contacts. The family is
responsible for caring for and protecting the baby but
also to integrate into the world group.
The important of the family
 Nuclear family: Composed by father,
mother and children born to the
couple in daily living.
 Extended Family: Here in addition to
the members mentioned in the
previous type coexist other
members of previous generations,
such as grandparents
 Single parents: where only he has
the presence of the parent, either by
widowhood, abandonment or
personal decision (single parents).

 reproductive function: The family guarantees and protects the
procreation of humankind.
 economic function: This function is related to the work of the
family to acquire the goods and services needed to live.
 educational function: The education consists of a set of rules of
conduct, habits, skills and information that the child is
assimilating their home, school and community.
 recreational function: The family meets serious and responsible
tasks, so you have to break the stress through healthy recreation
 Social function: The human being is a social being par
excellence. This socialization begins in the family; there are given
the first guidelines for further action of solidarity, justice,
cultivation of skills and abilities

Studies claim that the family, especially the mother, is a strong
predictor of academic performance of children. Also, children
who have a good relationship are their parents have better
school performance. Therefore it is crucial that, independent of
the conditions of origin of the children, their parents have a
close bond with their child's school.
