The group created a title sequence inspired by the film Se7en but received feedback that it lacked direction. They presented the production company first followed by the title as is conventional. They ended with phrases like "She says no" but received feedback that audiences did not understand them. The group learned the importance of title ordering from teacher feedback and examples like Cape Fear, and decided to follow conventions while potentially challenging the placement of the title at the end.

1. Title Sequence of Seven
When our group first began to plan ideas about what film opening we would like to create, we decided to create a film opening that
was inspired by Se7en. We took several shots of items and props (our first shot is of a man turning a book)which is similar to Se7en .
But after several pieces of feedback from our teachers we decided not to have several shots of props similar to se7en because our
film opening was beginning to have no agenda.

2. We kept with the conventions of film openings by presenting the production company first, following the title. When we presented our pitch to some
teachers and students we wanted to have the title at the end of the film opening but was told it was not convectional, so instead of ending with the
title we decided to end with some phrases. On the last two shots writing comes up stating “She says no”, “but she really means yes”, we wanted to let
the audience understand that the person in the opening that is following the girl might do something to her. But after presenting the opening to class
some students showed sighs that they didn’t understand the phrases. When creating the title sequence for our opening, we thought that there may be
too many titles included, but after looking at some more title sequences such as Cape fear we realised that there was also titles in nearly every shot of
their title sequence. From creating our opening we have learnt that the order of titles is very important, if we did not get feedback and help from our
teachers I don’t think we would have known that that the production company was presented following the title and main characters. We decided to
stick with the conventions of a film opening as we liked the order that titles were presented and didn’t feel the need to challenge them. However if
there was one aspect we would challenge it would be the placing of the title, we thought that if the title was placed at the end it would leave the
audience remembering the title.
