Today,I attemptedtocreate the body of my robotcompanion,aswell asthe speakers,althoughthe
speakerswere shortlyscrappedforthe time being,asIdecidedthataddingthe back panel tomy
robot wouldbe more importantfor now,withthe speakersbeingaddedlateron.

Today,I createdthe top part of myrobot companionthatsitson top of the mainbody.I createda
box that was dividedintosections,thenusedmultishifttopull some of the polygonsthatwere inthe
centre of the box upwardsto create a stand forthe antennae.Ithencreatedthe antennae by
layeringdisksovereachotherequally,usingthe gridinthe backgroundasa guide, andthen
mirroringthem.Ialsobeganwork onthe speakersduringthis session.

Today,I finishedoff the speakersthatIstartedinmy last session,makingsure thatI surfacedboth
the interiorandexteriorof the speakersseparately. Ithenstartedworkon the hoverpadson the
bottomof the robot.I createdthese padsbycreatinga diskshape,thenbevellingthe polygonto
create the correct shape.I thendidthe same for the pads that go onthe backpanel,makingsure
that theywere equal tothe padsthat were on the speakers.Ithensurfacedthem.

Today,I beganwork onthe wheelsof myrobot,whichactas a secondarymode of transportfor
short distance travel.Ialsoworkedonthe frontpanel of the robot,whichincludedthe screenand
controlsof the robot.I useda box modellingtechnique onthe frontpanel,toindicate wherethe
screenandcontrolsare, butusedprimitive shapestocreate the controls

Today,I put my model intoLayoutandbeganto positionandtexture mymodel.Itriedtouse some

Today,I fixedaproblemwithmodel wherethe antennae standwon’tmodel correctly.Imeldedthe
pointstogetherthatweren’tworkingcorrectly,andthenputthe model backintoLayout.I also
beganto workon addingmore texturestomyrobot companion

Today,I createdmy robot’sface inPhotoshop,whichwill be appliedtothe screen,togive myrobot
more of a personality.Iusedthe shape tool inordertocreate the eyes,andusedthe brushtool for
the eyelinerandmascara.To create the mouth,I useda rotatedletterC,typedinthe fontCalibri.I
was originallygoingtouse a heartfor the mouth,but didn’t like how itlooked.

Here,I didthe final piece of surfacingonmyrobot.Here,I texturedthe controllersonthe sidesof
the robot usingtexturesfromthe presetmenu.Imade the controllerstomatch the TV,and useda
glasstexture on the screens.
