1. Use of Text BBC Three Christmas ident from 2007. Logo in
the corner and a big ‘THREE’ in the middle of the
screen.
Brief Description A floor covered with snow and the square BBC
Three logo in the right bottom corner of the
ident. Also a sort of computer generated type of
animal talking and making a spoof of talking
about the weather and live TV.
Techniques Used Computer generated animation is definitely the
prominent thing used in this ident as none of
what is on the ident has been filmed with an
actual camera.
Advanced Techniques I think it is quite clever how they have used blue
on both the BBC three in the centre of the
screen and on the actual background as it looks
like it’s filmed outside and then the ‘snow’ on
the floor is really visible and the computer
generated people are really clear for the
audience to see so you’re instantly focusing on
where the voice is coming from.
Technical Comments It is one frame of entire ident. 385 × 217 pixels.
