![The Fishing Hole<br />By Amanda Tillman<br />1st Grade<br />June 2010<br />Objective: The students will be able collect data and create a bar graph representing the data. <br />Time: 30-45 mins. /day (Activity will take at least a week.)<br />P.A.S.S. - 2. Yarn
- 3. Magnets (one for each pole)
- 4. Clothes pins
- 6. Paper clips (a lot)
- 8. Copies of fish native to Oklahoma ( several of each/laminated and cut)
- 11. Copy, Laminate, and cut out fish
- 13. Divide your students into equal groups.
- 14. Give one fishing pole to each group.
- 15. Have each student “fish” for 2 min. until all students have had a turn.
- 17. They will work as a group to sort the fish according to its type
