The committee held discussions on the concept of ‘Green Audit’ with Ms.
Adhiti Muralidhar and Ms. Hamsa Iyer of Observer Research Foundation,
and suggested that a lecture on “Green Audit” should be held for all staff
members.

A session was subsequently organized by the FIP committee by Fr. Alwyn
D’Silva for all staff members
4. Survey by FYBCA students on Waste
Managers & Mapping Biodiversity
• On 21st Feb 2015
FYBCA students conducted a survey on ‘Waste Managers’ such as
Ragpickers, Kabaddiwalas, Mochis etc. from Mumbai and its suburbs to
make a study of their work. They also collected data on Carbon foot
printing. They presented their projects to Ms. Shriya Bhatia, Environment
planner

7. iNature Mobile Application Launch
• 8th Jan 2015
Ms. Elavarasi Navajivan and Ms. Pooja Nair attended the iNature
Mobile Application Launch Event at Don Bosco International School,
Matunga, and oriented students on how to use this application to
map varieties of birds, butterflies and trees within their residential
area.

9. Visit to the Annual Kala Ghoda festival
• 12th and 13th February 2015
Student groups of BCA &BSC visited the Annual Kala Ghoda festival to
particularly view the installations on Best-out of waste
10. Workshop by Paryavaran Samiti
• 8 students of FY B.Sc actively participated in a series of
workshops conducted by ‘Paryavaran Samiti’,organized by Shri
M.P Shah Junior College. They then conducted peer edu sessions
with their classmat6es on topics such as save energy, and how to
recycle and reuse resources
11. CAMPUS CLEANLINESS DRIVE
Students of the 3rd batch of FY B.Sc
& all BCA students actively took
the initiative to create awareness of
the importance of hygiene in the
toilets, and conducted a peer group
education campaign on the same by
visiting all classes to inculcate
habits of hygiene and cleanliness
while using the college toilets.
