Pitch for music video
1.
2.
3. Hand held footage, who you do not get to see
following a girl who he is interested in around the
streets of London on a date. The shot starts with a
extreme close up of lips singing the first lyrics of the
song. It then fades. Showing the young girl getting off
the bus running away from the camera. They start to
become closer and closer, until there is a twist at the
end of the video.
Section 2: Elevator pitch
4. Section 3: Script
The video begins with a extreme close up of lips singing the first few
lyrics of the song. ‘I’ve been waiting all night for you to tell me, tell me
that you need me, tell me that you want me’ This then fades into the
shot of the hand held camera getting of the bus into the streets of
London with the girl he is interested in.
*Through out this music video that I am going to create Visuals that are
different from the Lyrics, which makes it Disjunctive.
5. Choreography
They find themselves walking around the streets of London
running around enjoying each others company. They find
themselves in Trafalgar square, sitting by the fountains They find
themselves wondering around finding different activities to do
using the time they have as a date. Also using single camera
techniques, like a graphic match to change from one location to
the next and to also change scene.
6. When the song then starts to enter the cliff part of the song
into the slower section the love interest stays in the middle
of a busy walk way showing other people walking past at a
faster pace past her, this is showing that she is being stared
at in admiration because of the day there spent with each
other and her beauty.
The cliff
7. They then come to the end of the day. Enjoying the
night life together again around other places of
London and on public transport. She then moves into
a kiss the camera then leads forward. The scene then
goes black lighting up again in the bedroom of the
camera finding out his date was a dream.
8. Section 4: Moods/style
The main look of this video should feel very personal because of the hand held footage
used, it should also feel relatable for younger viewers. Because I would be using Graphic
matches through out to change shot and scene to compress the time in the video. The
cuts are going to be very quick jump cuts to represent the feeling of the characters in
the music video and how they are feeling. There will be no animated scenes in this
music video only real life acting. There are many different styles that match the style of
the music video that I would like to create.
This Music video ‘Stay high’ was a big inspiration to my
creation and ideas because of the way it was filmed
using hand held personal footage.
This is the original video for ‘Waiting all night’ again
also using hand held footage to feeling the personal
effect of the footage.
This video will have a very jumpy
personal feel. The footage will be very
fast except for the scene were the
song hits the cliff of the song.
