The group discussed naming their horror film after the main character doll. They wanted a traditional doll name to add authenticity and mystery. Through a poll, they chose the name "Scarlett" for the doll and film. The name Scarlett fits well since red connotes danger and the "scar" references the doll's backstory while the feminine name contrasts with its unstable nature.

2. DISCUSSION
We have debated in a group, and have come to the
conclusion of calling the film after the doll, who is
the main character of our film. Following
convections of horror movies such as “Chucky”
who is the main character of the film. This also
tells the audience what the film is about, and
foreshadows the future events to do with that
main character.

3. DECISION
We want the name of the doll to be traditional to give
authentic value to the film. This will also give the
sense of a background story to the doll adding to the
history of the film opening. This will make our film
more mysterious which is another big convention in
horror movies.

5. FINAL OUTCOME
We have now decided to call our film Scarlett. With a poll, our three choices were
Lucia, Scarlett and Nancy.
 Lucia - 6 votes
 Scarlett – 7 votes
 Nancy – 1 vote
Scarlett was a clear winner and this fitted with our film very well.
 The colour of red which gives the conation of danger and fear as it is the
colour of blood.
 The “Scar” in the name relates to the scar the doll has, adds to the
background story of the doll and is a physical symbol of the dolls mentally
unstable mind.
 The name is also a playful traditional girly name which contrasts with the
character to give the convention of using innocence of children as creepy.
