The video of ‘What them girls like’ is about three men who believe that they know what women want and what they are thinking. The video portrays women in a negative way and are seen to be stupid.

4. Feminist- The video portray women to only be after one thing which is money. “all women are gold-digger's”. They seem very stupid with the things they are thinking and very “bitchy”. 6. ‘ Like A Boy’… ‘ Like a boy’ was written by Ciara and Candice Nelson. ‘ Like a Boy’ details about double standards in society of how men in relationships can do certain things, but when women do the same they are looked down upon. According to Ciara, "it's a record for my women" and she had "a lot of girl talks". Ciara wanted to know what it would be like if "the roles were reversed". "It's a female-empowerment record". 7. Critical evaluation... Feminist- As the roles have been reversed it shows the empowerment of women the song also shows how unfair society is towards women. Men are able to cheat and get away with it an be seen as “players” whist women are seen to be “loose” Marxist- the roles and the power have changed in ‘Like a boy’ Ciara has all the power and seems to have a higher position than Reggie Bush.

The female gaze comes from the way they see men to be cheaters and if the roles were changed men would not stand for it. The male gaze it more of the way Ciara is portraying the females. Even though she is dressing like a boy she still has a sex appeal to her ‘ What them girls like’ What them girls like has more of the male gaze as it is from the male perspective. Women in the video are seen as sex objects and stupid this is what some men think about women, they see them to be less important.
