1. The Plot of
"The Hobbit"

2. The Hobbit is a work of
fantasy by J.R.R. Tolkien.

3. The story features a
colourful cast of characters
conceived in a very
imaginative mind.

4. Some of the characters, are hobbits, Dwarves, Elves,
a wise old seer named Gandalf, and strange creatures,
including spiders, goblins, a dragon, trolls, and Wargs.

5. Some of the characters embark on a quest,
going into the wild, where they encounter all
sorts of nasty characters and dangerous scenarios.

6. They pass over the Misty Mountains,
they are caught by goblins
and taken to the underworld.

7. One of the main hobbits, named Bilbo, gets lost
in the tunnels and meets a creature called Gollum.
Bilbo has an invisibility ring and he uses it to escape.

8. The troupe is chased by goblins
and Wargs, but they escape
with the help of some eagles.

9. Then they enter the black forests of
Mirkwood where they encounter and
escape from giant spiders and wood-elves.

10. When they reach the Lonely Mountain
they enter a town called Lake-town
which is inhabited by humans.

11. A dragon named Smaug also
enters the story here, but it is killed.

12. The dwarves reach the end of their journey
when they take possession of the mountain.

13. A war with the dwarves, men and elves
against the goblins and Wargs is inevitable.

14. The war is won by the good guys,
with the help of the eagles
and the house of Beorn.

15. The story ends with a climatic battle,
and in the end, the hobbit Bilbo
returns home a very wealthy hobbit.

16. So the story ends.

17. Then Tolkien blessed the world
with his sequel to “The Hobbit.”

18. It is a trilogy called “The Lord of the Rings,”
and includes many of the characters
introduced in “The Hobbit.”
