What Is Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)?
This method identifies the potential hazards of any job. The Rochester Institute
of Technology (RIT) says in a training module that it assists in recognising hazards that
might cause injury, environmental harm, and occupational illness.JHA is a process that
offers a systematic approach to help assess, control hazards, and monitor
effectiveness. It evaluates specific jobs and tasks to reduce risks and protect workers
from illness and injury.

3. How Does JHA Identify All Hazards?
The good thing about JHA is it lets employers plan ahead. It
helps identify how workers may get hurt or become ill through the
activities they perform. It also has the hazard types and sources
planned out. Examples of hazardous types are biological, chemical,
physical, psychological, ergonomic, and safety. Hazardous sources
include people, environment, equipment, materials, and
processes.
Employers in the construction, mining, and other
demanding industries can make good use of JHA by informing their
workers. This can either take place through an orientation or
