After she got married and her husband died, she later on drew up a constitution as the new law of the land. Americans tried to overrule the Queen with force but the people were faithful and stood up for their rightful queen. For many years there was conflict between Americans and the Hawaiians, but in the end the islands became part of the United States after they arrested the queen and forced surrender.Queen Liliuokalani was the last reigning monarch of the Hawaiian islands.
