1. Agenda for next NESHEP main meeting
Tuesday 5th April
Venue – Wilton Centre @ 10:00am
Location – Exhibition Hall
CORPORATE ROAD RISK – David Clark, Driver Training
Officer with North Yorkshire County Council.
David’s presentation will be a very interactive session
where he will be answering questions such as why do
we need to bother with training and why do we need
to do it, especially when people already hold valid
driving licences. He will take us through business driving
and the law, the need to create a safety culture, the
human factor and he will discuss what we as managers
and trainers can do about reducing casualties. He will
also be bringing the members up to date with changes in
the law and in other areas of driving responsibilities.
FLEET MANAGER PRO – Simon Calvert, Owner at ATB Fleet.
Our ‘New Technology’ subgroup has been very busy working behind the scenes pulling
together their requirements/suggestions that they would like incorporating into the system
architecture of this invaluable web-based fleet control, policy distribution and risk screening
tool. A prototype will be ready to demonstrate at the meeting; and the
subgroup/system architecture gurus and our legal friends from
Eversheds will be on hand to answer any questions that may come up
during discussions.
HSE UPDATE – Dr David Shallow will again be giving his very much
appreciated update from the HSE.
You are welcome to bring along a colleague and there will be opportunities for networking so
please confirm your attendance as soon as possible to Tracy - tracy.waters@neshep.org
Attendance at NESHEP meetings can count towards your CPD.
Hope that you are able to attend on Tuesday the 5th April.
