I have worked within the oil industry (Offshore) since 2003 and I have only worked with one

in the Shell Central field offshore, in the role of multi task deck crew member and stork focal
point on both insulations Anasuria FPSO+ Gannet Alfa
I am currently working onboard Anasuria FPSO (11 Years) and Gannet platform on a split
shift for 7 years. I am also part of the multiskilled deck crew and my duties cover Scaffolding,
HLO Helideck duties, Deck duties, Coxwains and do cover Deck Forman duties and Tanker
offtake duties + Safety Rep on Anasuria/Gannet for 6 years and working at height focal
point/safety rep

Alan Bartlett has acted as Scaffold foreman position on Anasuria over the past 8 years.
He is knowledgeable and trustworthy and will endeavour to complete any tasks set to him in a safe and
timely manner.
His role onboard Anasuria covers more than just scaffolding.
He has been actively involved in deck and FPSO operations, examples of which include:-
Supply vessel operations,
Tanker mooring and Offtake hose connection/recovery
Connecting and disconnecting heading control vessels (Tugs)
Deck lifts (banking cranes and load handling)
Helicopter Operations (HLO and HDA)
During his time on board Alan has also been an active member of the SI 571 committee
(Safety representatives) which he has championed the safe hands campaign, which has helped to
significantly reduce the amount of injuries to hands
He is also the Installation’s working at height focal point.
Alan has shown good leadership and organisation skills within the team of scaffolders, deck crew
And the FPSO team as a whole.
As his head of department, I can say that been a pleasure to work alongside Alan since I joined
Anasuria in 2010
