Position Name: Load and Performance Test Engineer

Position Description:
This position is responsible for planning, creating and executing Load & Performance tests on
Enterprise applications and analyzing the execution results
Required Qualifications:
6 years of Performance Testing Experience OR Bachelor Degree in Computer Science with 4
years of Load & Performance Testing experience
Expert level experience using LoadRunner/Performance Center
Experience with many protocols supported by Performance Center such as HTTP/Web, AJAX,
Terminal Emulation, Siebel and Peoplesoft
Database testing knowledge, especially Microsoft SQLServer and ORACLE
Experience in a leadership role, sound decision-making abilities, good communication skills
Able to work independently on multiple simultaneous projects
Position Responsibilities:
Plan, create, maintain and review Load and Performance tests using HP
LoadRunner/Performance Center
Analyze system monitoring reports from tools such as Wiley or others from application system
servers (DB servers, Application servers, and Web servers)
Subject matter expertise for engaged project groups which includes assisting and/or creating load
and performance test plans and reviewing load and performance test artifacts such as non-
functional requirements and architecture diagrams
Analyze output generated from Load and Performance tests and be able to provide guidance and
explain technical points
Monitor system performance metrics to ensure optimization
Provide technical support to help resolve testing customers' performance related problems/issues
Serve as a technical expert resolving critical and complex issues. Be able to participate as a peer
with other groups such as Open Systems and DBA’s
Provide technical direction and expertise to testing groups and/or departments
Organize testing projects and guide the direction of multiple-person projects
Act as a technical leader within the team and serve as a SME
Produce strategies to address product and/or process requirements
Ensure adherence to Enterprise product adoption standards
