1. After a lot of preparation, more planning, kissing frogs, knock-backs, deadend meetings, networking
and ongoing website revamps, we are FINALLY ready to kick off in 2016!! The final step will be to
open our business account with AIB www.aib.ie - who, of all the banks we researched, seem to have
their financial heads screwed on more tightly than their competitors and they will also, hopefully, be
giving us some practical help. We are now a limited company (No. 569837).
So what did we learn during 2015? Having spoken to various people about how we would market
the business we finally decided to engage interns to look after our offline sales and we are
outsourcing our online marketing to Glasshouse glasshousemarketing.ie - who will keep us to our
budget. Thanks Suzanne for taking up the baton!
We were also challenged by Silviu from Entrepreneurs Anonymous www.entanon.com who advised
us to work on a UVP (Unique Value Proposition) for the company and this is the what we came up
with:
SqueezeIT UVP
Customer: We believe our best customers are small to medium-sized businesses
Problem: who are not properly utilising or exploiting their online presence fully because existing
solutions may be too expensive but who want to expand their customer base
economically and engage more effectively with existing customers.
Solution: with a low-cost easy to deploy mobile responsive website along with a POS discount
system designed for non-technical business owners and marketers.
Thanks Silviu!!
We also met with Nadya Paleyes from Belarus but who now lives in Dublin - n.paleyes@gmail.com -
who really knows her stuff and we would strongly recommend her to anyone who is starting a new
business venture as she was, and hopefully will be, a great help to us while planning our offline sales
strategy going forward.
On Wednesday we are going to a talk given by Ecommerce & Beyond -
http://ecommerceandbeyond.com/ - to learn about how to create email prospects using something
called Lead Magnets which should be interesting, and on Saturday there is a Workshop on marketing
by word of mouth in the Bank of Ireland Enterprise Lounge on Grafton St given by TribeTactics
-https://twitter.com/tribetactics - we live and learn, eh?
We will also be joining the Dun Laoghaire Chamber of Commerce - www.dlrchamber.ie - in the near
future, they keep calling us!
So that's it for now, more to follow!!
