3. 3. The unit of Hospital Schools of the south of Madrid are made up of five
hospital schools settle in Alcorcón, Fuenlabrada, Leganés, Getafe y Móstoles.
1. We provide educational attention to hospitalized students and pupils
who cannot attend to their own school and stay at home for at least one
month.
2. We work with students from 3 to 18 years old in hospital schools and
from 3 to 14 at home.
4. Three teachers work in each hospital schools of the south of Madrid.
One is the school teachers and the other two are home teachers.

4. The main aim is to provide educational attention to
hospitalized students in order to ensure the continuity of the
teaching and learning process, and avoid educational lags as
a result of their situation.

5.  D e 9.00 a 10.00 Coordination with sanitary
and educational staff.
 De 10.00 a 12.30 Classroom time.
 De 12.30 a 13.30 Lunch.
 De 13.30 a 15.00 Workshops
 Timetable and activities are adapted to the characteristics of our pupils.
 Individuals (Curriculum work using books, worksheets and ICT
tools)
 Collective (Workshops, games and so on)
 “Special” (activities with families, festivals, etc.)

6. Who is this for?:
 Pre-primary, Primary and High School students that cannot
regularly attend to school because of a doctor’s
prescription. Always longer tan 30 days.
 The student being home-schooled will continue being
registered at their school.
 The activities are developed at the student’s house, in a
period of time between four and nine weekly hours.

7.  Guarantee that the learning of the homeschooled student
due to sickness doesn’t stop, avoding them getting behind
in their studies since they aren’t able to attend to school.
 Ensure the continuity of the teaching-learning process,
through the right team work of all the profesionals that are
involved with the sick student
 Make the come back to school easier once the period of
time the kid needed to be at home is over.
 To favor the communcation process through the use of
Tecnologies of the Information and of Communication.

8. We centralise our classroom work on the children interest. From that
interest we do different activities using diferent techniques.
