Pakistan has played a key role in supporting the US war on terror by providing military bases and supply routes for over 75% of US and NATO supplies. However, the war has come at a huge cost to Pakistan with over 80,000 civilians and 4,795 soldiers killed and $68 billion in economic losses. In response, Pakistan has undertaken military operations like Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan and Karachi operations to crackdown on terrorist groups and over 20,000 terrorists have been killed. Pakistan's future strategy includes strengthening security forces and establishing domestic defense production to better combat terrorism within its borders.

3. Introduction
 Terrorism as the use of violence and intimidation in the
pursuit of political aim or threads against civilians in
order to attain goals.
 Present the gravest problem that Pakistan is facing is
terrorism.
 Pakistan’s geographical location played a vital role in
the war on Terror.
 Its nuclear capability had brought Pakistan into attention
and post 9/11 era again increased the importance of
Pakistan.
 Our politicians, general masses and security forces must
show a strong sense of unity to fight terrorism.

 After the 9/11 above 80,000 Pakistani civilians have lost
their lives , Pakistan Army has lost 4,795 soldiers in the
war and 10,671 have been injured.
 The damage to the Pakistani economy is estimated at $68
billion over the last ten years.
 Reason of terrorism is dissatisfaction and injustice, when a
person is dissatisfied with the rulers ,then he joins some
religious parties.

 Pakistan provided the US access to numerous military bases and
helped establish facilities including Intermediate Staging Bases
at Jacobabad, Pasni, Dalbandin and Shamsi.
 More than 75% US and NATO supplies pass through
Pakistan which includes gas, food, military equipment.
 Dalbandin used as a forward refueling base for US Special
Operations helicopters and drones operating in Afghanistan.
 Around 1.3 million people were killed in Iraq, Afghanistan
and Pakistan as a result of US-led wars.

 On 16 December 2014, seven gunmen affiliated with the
TTP conducted a terrorist attack on the APS.
 The militants killing 145 people, including 132
schoolchildren, and at least 130 injured.

 55,000 Afghan refugees expelled by between January
and March 23, 2015.

12. Zarb-e-Azb
 In response to an attack on Jinnah International Airport
on 8 June 2014, the Pakistani military launched an
operation Zarb-e-Azb on 15 June 2014
 Against the North Waziristan militants including the
TTP, Al-Qaeda, East Turkestan Islamic Movement, the
Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan and the HN.
 Up to 30,000 soldiers are involved in the
operation.Zarb-e-Azb means "sharp and cutting strike".
 Zarb-e-Azb aims to flush out foreign and local militants
hiding in North Waziristan.
 Obove 1Million people leave their houses due to
operation and Government support them.

14. Karachi operation
 Since the 1980s, violence has become an integral part
of the city’s political and social ecosystem.
 Karachi’s challenges such as Anti-state and transnational
jihadist, Ethnic, sectarian, anti-state militants,
Extortionists, Real estate mafias, city’s top political
parties, Terrorist networks and China cutting.
 The security forces and intelligence agencies controlled
the terrorism in Karachi.
 31,336 alleged criminals have so far been arrested in
several targeted operations by rangers.

16. Future strategy
 Pakistan future strategy is to established his own
factories which developed thunder planes, advanced
Military technology that consume cost against terrorism.
 Good relation with his neighbouring countries, so its
help us to communicate military agencies against
Terrorism.
 Upgrade his security forces such as Police.


 Pakistan is peace of loving nation &playing it’s important
role in combating terror.
 Unfortunately, sometimes it’s commitment is doubled by
some of it’s allies.
 Mistrust can lead to diversion of all efforts which will not
