1. WEANING:
GRADUAL INCORPORATION OF SEMISOLID FOOD INTO THE DIET OF
A BABY, TO SUPPLEMENT MILK, WHICH IS STILL PROVIDED. (5-6
MONTHS OLD THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM AND THE KIDNEYS ARE
PREPARED).
RULES:
FIRST FOODS SHOULD BE EASY TO SWALLOW ( SEMISOLIDS
USING FOOD PROCESSORS OR LIQUIDIZER).
GIVE THE BABY ONE NEW FOOD EVERY TIME (CHECK
DIAHORREA, VOMITING, ALLERGIES).
COOK WELL ALL FOODS AND USE SAFE WATER (KILL
BACTERIA).
DO NOT ADD SUGAR, SALT, HONEY. Do not give products rich in
them (cube stocks, sweets).
BE CAREFUL WITH SMALL, ROUNDED FOODS LIKE BEANS,
CORN, GRAPES,…
OFFER NEW FOODS BETWEEN 8 TO 10 TIMES TILL THEY ARE
ACCEPTED (NEOFOBIA).
MEALTIMES SHOULD BE AN AGREEABLE MOMENT. LET THEM
PLAY AND GET FAMILIAR WITH GLASS, PLATE, SPOON,…LET
THEM TOUCH FOOD WITH THEIR HANDS.
HYGIENE IS VERY IMPORTANT (HANDS, GLASS, SURFACE,
PLATES, CUTLERY,…)
