3. Definition:
Transboundary pollution is the pollution that
originates in one country but is able to cause
damage in another country's environment, by
crossing borders through pathways like water
or air.
Pollution can be transported across hundreds
and even thousands of kilometers.

4. A transboundary problem is an
environmental problem that
is transboundary in scale. In other words, it is
an environmental problem originating in, or
contributed by, one country and affecting (or
impacting) another.
