Meet Ben Patch. Ben is the VP of Finance of Adchemy, a digital marketing solutions provider and one of the country’s fastest growing privately-held software
companies. He’s also a father. And as you might imagine, the two roles can
conflict.
“I used to regularly work at home during the evening,” Patch recalled. “I would
put my kids to bed and then log back onto my computer.”
Patch had no choice. When a key resource on his finance team responsible for

According to Patch, Adchemy has had Adaptive, “running on autopilot,” since
March, 2013. Among a wide range of new, helpful features, the finance team uses
the Adaptive Netsuite connector to pull information into Adaptive Planning, part
of the Adaptive Suite, to automatically produce balance sheet, income statement,
and cash flow reporting at the end of every month. If there are any unexpected
variances in the numbers, Patch can easily drill down into NetSuite or Adaptive to
diagnose and update on the fly. And for any new reporting requests, Patch can
now, “very quickly produce Ad-hoc reports” for stakeholders needing new views
of the data.
“We use Adaptive for financial planning and analysis, which includes reporting
on revenue, COGS, intercompany consolidations, HR, and expense planning for
marketing, legal, and all of our other business entities,” Patch explained. “Adaptive
gives us the data we need at a moment’s notice.”
