PROBLEM STATEMENT:
The early postnatal period is a dangerous time for both mother and baby where morbidity and
mortality are highly prevalent if proper care is not done. Post natal care (PNC) knowledge has
significant role in reducing such complications. In this study, we are interested to know the
knowledge of postnatal services among the post delivery mothers.
OBJECTIVES
Broad objectives.
To determine the knowledge and attitude towards postnatal services among post delivery
mothers in Ilemela district.
Specific objectives
1. To determine the knowledge of postnatal mothers on maternal danger signs.
2. To determine the knowledge of post delivery mothers on the essential newborn care like
breast feeding among others.
3. To determine the attitude and knowledge of post delivery mothers on infection prevention
methods.
