 Prepares the patient for various diagnostic procedures like chest x-ray, ultrasound, 2D echo,
CT scan, MRI, and endoscopy.
 Prepares and assists physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
 Carries out doctor’s order in conformity with hospital policy and legal limitations.
 Evaluates the care given including the patient’s response.
 Maintains accurate and complete records of patient’s condition, medication, treatment, and
nursing care given.
 Maintains patient’s privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.
 Acts as patient advocate.
