Dr Adam Osborne is an expert and highly respected medical professional, thanks to many years of
hard work and study he has earned himself a position at the forefront of British psychiatric science.
Holding numerous undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications, membership to an impressive
variety of professional medical institutions and boasting over ten years serving the public in mental
health trusts across the country, Dr Adam Osborne has the ideal skills to treat any community. Dr
Adam Osborne is a member of the General Council as well as the Royal College of Psychiatry. Dr
Osborne is also a member of the UK Adult ADHD network and the Adult ADHD Education Institute;
both these memberships reflect Dr Osborne’s interest and expertise in the growing field of Adult
ADHD and his commitment to developing services and public awareness of this often very impairing
developmental disorder in adulthood.
On the back of all of these extensive credentials Dr
Osborne is now fulfilling an essential position as a
specialist registrar for the multi-disciplinary Primary
Care Mental Health Team based in the very centre of
London. From day to day Dr Adam Osborne faces
challenges providing a balance between primary and
secondary health care whilst needing to provide a
whole range of mental health assessment, diagnosis
and treatment services right in the middle of some of
the most varied and challenging communities in the UK.
In order to meet the often complex mental health needs
of the community, Dr Osborne has needed to call upon all of the skills he has picked up and honed
throughout his long career.
Dealing with the needs of communities as well as the demands of working closely with other medical
professionals, social workers and occupational therapists, Adam Osborne has needed to call upon his
extensive interpersonal skills. Working in so many diverse environments and treating thousands of
mental health patients has taught Adam Osborne the skills he needs to work with others, particularly
facing challenging environments whilst working in medium secure units and prison psychiatric in
reach teams has faced Dr Osborne with some of the most challenging patients in the country. So,
after serving the needs of some of the country’s most challenging forensic patients Dr Osborne is
more than prepared to take on the challenge of serving central London communities.
As an Approved Clinician under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act (1983) and a Member of the
Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych), Dr Adam Osborne is widely trusted as a leading expert in
the practice of psychiatric treatment.
