1. Task
With date 10.04.2012 the TÜV Rheinland LGA Bautechnik GmbH was commisioned
by the company BetonSeal GmbH & Co KG to retested the primer for concrete
surfaces Controll#Innerseal to its chemical resistance for biogas plants, with regards
to an aqueoous solution of fermentacion acids with a 3 % of lactic acid, a 1,5 % acetic
acid and a 0,5 % butyric acid on the one hand and on the other a solution with 7 % of
(NH4)2HPO4 and a pH value between 8,5 and 9,0 as a complemment to the design
principles for silage and liquid manure containers made of reinforced concret accordind
the requirements described in DIN 11622-2º( Date: October 1999)”
2. Method of examination
The verification test to the chemical resistence were conducted on two cylindrical
samples of concrete sawing(diameter 150 mm). The serrated cores were send by the
applicant to the TÜV Rheinland LGA Bautechnik GmbH – Road construction. The
primer was conduct in seven spray applications (consumption: 800 g/ m2). According to
the applicant instructions the concrete used corresponds to a concret resistence class C
35/45 and exhibition class XA3. According the applicant the cement used is type
CEM-I. For the testing of presure were applied and were fixed on each of the cores
sawn a cilinder with an inside diametrer of 10 cm. and they were filled with the liquids
test. Liquids were subjected to a pressure of 1 bar with compressed air after. Test liquids
acted under this pressure the impregnated surface for 3 months. Test were carried out at
a room temperature( 20º to 23º C). Then conducted an analysis of the treated surfaces.
The characteristics investigated at the end of the storage period are detailled in the
following table:
