Secure your Computers/Cell-Phones
- Computer (pcs/laptops) & Mobiles nowadays holds lots of
personal information, documents and images. Securing these
devices is prior approach on securing your ID theft. Update
them, use latest patch, apply firewall, use AVs.
Be careful on what you share
- Nowadays almost 80% of users of social media share their
contents on Social Media. Photos from recent event, Places they
visited or going to visit, People with whom they are staying. . .
These are all being shared in "Public" way. Even more than 60%
users add those people as friends whom they didn't recognize or
know personally. Stop these activity right now. Never share your
sensitive informations (like : emails, addresses, birth date)
Think Before you Click
Never Click or Follow all links found in web or social media.
Before clicking or following links, make sure to analyze it clearly.
Link may contain Phising sites or bogus websites or spam/hoax
contents.
2. Keep your Phone Light
Phone Light ? Means, don't store your sensitive files, passwords,
PINs in your phone. Why ? Because Phone can be lost or stolen.
So, free your phone from sensitive information.
Encrypt your Devices
Use strong encryption methods to lock your devices. This will
definitely add some extra security layer to your files in case your
device is accessed by unauthorized people or if device is lost.
