1. What I Learnt About Bangla TV :
Bangla TV is placed at 150 high street Stratford London E15 2NE, it’s an Asian television station producing news, interviews, competitions for the youth and singing programmes for all ages. When I visited them I learnt that their target audience is everyone and that they appeal to a range of ages.
I learnt about the job role of a Graphic Designer, they design graphics and introductions of films or for instance the title sequence of Bangla TV News. They also compose the music for the graphics they make. It interested me because I like the creativity of it, I also like designing things. Another job that interested me was the position of a TV presenter; it looked exciting to be in front of the camera.
I observed that there weren’t many women working there, so I am concerned and curious about job opportunities for women in the media industry. I also noticed that the TV station didn’t look how I expected it to look although I must accept the fact that they are under construction.
I learned the principal learning skill : planning and carrying out research and asking questions to extend thinking and collaborating with others to work towards common goals by planning questions and researching Bangla TV and then I asked questions to extend my information and I also communicated with others to find other information that I didn’t pick up.
