Construction of a Medical Clinic
Many people were severely and negatively affected by COVID-19 losing many loved ones.
There is need to construct a medical clinic to service one community in which, many people had
to travel a long distance in order to reach a clinic facility.
Pay attention to the following project information:
Cost R50 million
Return on Investment 10%
Time to market 36 months
Risk factor Low
Chances of success High
There should be a minimum of 10 resources to manage this project.
You have been given five resources. Add the remaining five resources. Resource Role Cost (per
hour)
1. Project Manager Developing project documents R500
2. Accounts Manager Drawing up a budget R500
3. Human Resources Manager Determining employee availability R500
4. Salesperson Negotiating client requirements R300
5. Production Manager Managing the entire event R500
6. IT manager R500
7. operations manager R500
8. Staff manager R500
9. emergency R200
10. Administration R500
Question 2
Develop a project Charter for the project you have selected in Question 1. Ensure that the charter
covers all the relevant section as indicated in the marking rubric below. NO theory to be given
besides headings.
Required: Include the following sections separately in the Project Charter. These should be
accurate and specific to the scenario and the selected focus area:
The funding adequately indicates the total amount of money the sponsor authorises for the
project.
The major deliverables adequately present the major end products or tangible items that are
expected to be produced during and at the completion of the performance of the project.
The acceptance criteria are adequately described.
The milestone schedule is an adequate list of target dates or times for the occurrence of key
events in the project timetable.
Adequate and sufficient key assumptions include that project rationale or justification is based
on.
The constraints are presented to include the main limitations that limit the actions of the project
team.
The approval requirements adequately define the limits of authority of the project manager.
Approval signature and date adequately indicate that the sponsor has officially or formally
authorised the project.
