Think about the topic of COVID-19 pandemic and vaccine distribution in the United States What is the story, and what are the major claims made by sources? How do non-government sources differ from government sources in this coverage, and are there disagreements between them? Which kinds of sources get the most attention or emphasis? What kinds of potentially correct or incorrect beliefs might people draw from the coverage? For the stories you're looking at, go to the Twitter or Facebook pages for the news outlets (easiest way to do this is probably to Google "CNN Facebook," or whatever the news outlet is) and seek out posts for the stories you're examining. How are people there talking about the story and the claims made by the sources in it? Does that discussion reflect claims made by sources in the story, or do the commenters approach the story differently? Lastly, thinking about the topic as a whole and how the Facebook or Twitter users might draw conclusions from all this coverage, does the total coverage appear to be helpful in reaching a correct conclusion, to lead people toward an incorrect conclusion, or to leave people confused about what to think?.
