Lee Inc., a Georgia corporation, sued Sheridan Inc., a Florida corporation, in the Duval Circuit Court in Jacksonville. The lawsuit was over a contract worth $250.000. Sheridan Inc. timelv removed the action to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Thereafter. Sheridan Inc. filed a motion to transfer to the Northern District of Georgia under 28 U.S.C. 1404 ("change of venue"). That district encompasses Atlanta and is the site where a substantial portion of the contract was to be performed. Lee Inc. opposed the motion and filed a timelv motion to remand. The District Court will most likelv: a-Grant Sheridan's transfer motion because the facts indicate the Northern District of Georgia is a district where the suit could have been originally filed b- Grant Sheridan's motion because this is the purpose of the forum non conveniens doctrine c- Deny Sheridan's motion to transfer and grant Lee's motion to remand d-Deny Sheridan's motion because the Florida state court lacked jurisdiction over the case because the federal court has exclusive iurisdiction.
