Title/topic
“Out of Controller “- Video Games
Target audience
Parents – refers to “young people” and the formality ogf the
voiceover seems more direct to them
Tone of voice? Very formal, monotone -
Sound effects?
(SFX)
- The game over sound effect: Fits in perfectly for the end as it signals game
over like the radio trail is over too – I think it’s a clever tie in
Wildtrack/ambient
sound?
Use of music? Street like? Heavy in bass etc… isolated at the start – which seems to be
conventional
Sound levels? The title “out of controller” pops in the middle of the voiceover – I think it is
out of place- The sound is significantly higher and sounds robotic
The voxpop/expert montages have conflicting sound levels, which can be
okay to indicate different voices but also odd sounding if it’s like a seesaw
effect between each.
Length? 50 seconds ish
-its nice how its fast pace and brief.
Opinion It is unclear to who the target audience is where the voiceover indicates it
seems more for older people the content and voxpops may connote it is a
younger audience. I like the idea of the montage of voices it creates tension
and builds it up. However it misses factual content and the informer is heard
little so it is unbalanced.
