2. Reminder of the plot
Three friends go to a party, after taking drugs, the male
character accidentally kills another party goer. The friends
then attempt to leave town to escape punishment,
however guilt and a myriad of mental issues causes
problems within the group as the male character goes to
hand himself in. the others continue with their plan to
runaway until they meet the male once more, however
more unstable than ever as he attempts to murder the
other two. The two females resort to murdering the male
to save their own lives before stumbling on a derelict
building where they take camp.
3. Mentioned to the group
Take into consideration that the genre of this trailer is
social realist/action which is why we had chosen the two
previous titles, Consequences because in real life one bad
move with always will have its consequences and Karma
because it’s something that everyone has in the back of
their minds.
4. What are you views on the
titles now?
Many of them suggested that the film should have a
thriller element within it
Karma didn’t suit the genre of plot as they said it gave the
plot away
Consequences was favoured.
Many thought we should still look for new titles

‘The narrative is too busy for then genre chosen’
‘A title which creates suspense for the audience’
‘Runaway, although if you tweak the story or genre a little
bit there will be many more choses that may fit better’
‘I would change the genre because of how the plot puts it
across. I don’t think action and social realist suit because
it’ll be hard to make it realistic’

7. What are we going to do to
connect with the results.
We have decided that we are going to change our genre
because of the suggestions of adding Thriller as part of
our genre as well as social media, as Action will make it
hard to make the film have a realistic feel. We have
decided to switch Action for Psychological Thriller because
we have viewed film trailers such as Shutter Island and
compared them to Social Realist film such as Bullet Boy
and Trainspotting and they have very similar traits such as
having no voice over and the only vocals we hear are
directly from the film and they explain the narrative with a
simple score/soundtrack in the background. This we feel
has shaped our project and has been a successful
investigation.
