Benefits: Zarb’s Graduate Business Programs
• One of the few programs in the metropolitan area with separate accounting
accreditation by AACSB. (Less than 5% of schools in the country have this
distinction).
• Our BBA and MBA programs have been AACSB accredited since 1968. Hofstra was
the first university on Long Island to achieve AACSB accreditation.
• Classes are taught by dedicated, full-time faculty with outstanding teaching skills,
terminal degrees, and appropriate business experience
Features of Zarb EMBA Program I:
• Small class size (less than 20) versus over 100 at NYU, Columbia
• A 20-month program with almost all courses taught on Saturdays
• Lock-step scheduling (fosters long-term relationships, better
rationalized curriculum planning)
• An all- inclusive tuition policy (except private room on trip)
• An empowered student body
• Active alumni base for networking

• Use of student teams for cases and projects
• Study groups on campus, in offices and in homes
• Use of team teaching for all 4 credit courses
• Faculty selected based on teaching, business/consulting
experience and research productivity
• Best of the Best– faculty include winners of best teaching
awards, distinguished professors, departmental chairs, etc.
Features of the Zarb EMBA Program III:
• EMBA 415-- Executive Leadership Skills-- will
now feature presentations and question-
answer sessions from high-level executives
(from diverse businesses and functional
specializations)
Course Content:
Fall 2014– EMBA 400, ACCT 401, QM 4012 and IT 401 13 credits
Winter 2015-FIN 401 3 credits
Spring 2015-MKT 401, MGT 402, and Fin 402 12 credits
Summer 2015-EMBA 410 (including foreign trip) 6 credits
Fall 2015-EMBA 420, LAW 401, MGT 401 and EMBA 415 8 credits
Winter 2016 EMBA 425 3 credits
Spring 2016 –EMBA 430 3 credits
Total 48 credits

– State of the Art Business Development Center classroom
(computers at each desk, networked printer)
– 24/7 at home access to library database
– Blackboard communication
– All statistical software, books, student materials (cases,
financial calculator) and foreign travel costs included

• Package consists of downloaded application
information, official transcripts (except Hofstra
degrees), two-page autobiographical
statement with career plans, resume, two
letters of recommendation
• GMAT is normally waived
