An establishment that provides budget
oriented, sociable accommodation and food
for a specific group of people, such as
students, workers, or travelers.
5. ORIGIN OF HOSTEL:
Contrary to popular, that hostels are latest
inventions of civilization, it is known that the
first hostel was opened in 1912 in a German
castle Altena his boss Richard Schirrmann,
Who created the first permanent,
“youth hostel”
8. Hostel life Vs Home life
Actually home life and hostel life are entirely different from
each other.
• Hostel life improves confidence within the resident.
• They are able to stand up for their rights and learn how to cop
with problems and difficulties own their own.
• They also learn to manage their expenses, routine and study on
their own.

32. Bad aspects of hostel life:

Being far away from the watchful eyes of the
parents gives the residents sheer
independence and residents fall a prey to
many bad habits like drug abuse.

it is one of the most important issue, many
students are really hurt badly being ragged by
seniors. And may result in suicidal acts.
oToo much independence.
34. So far we have seen that like everything else
hostel life has its own pros and cons. Well it is
completely upto us to decide which side we
choose to accept and which sides we should
reject.
Having said that Hostel Life offers many
amusements and we make some friends for life.
It is a life changing and enjoyable experience.
So keeping all this in mind you should think
whether or not you want have a “Life in Hostel”,
because it is surely going to change your life
forever.
