The management and organization of human capital in businesses
is the focus of the interdisciplinary discipline of human resource
management (HRM).
It involves managing people at work, including recruiting, hiring,
training, and developing employees, managing employee
relations, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
related to employment.

1. Recruitment and selection: Data science (DS) identifies the most
effective recruitment channels and sources of talent.
2. Performance management: DS helps identify the key performance
metrics and predictors of success, allowing for better performance
monitoring, analysis, and feedback.
3. Employee engagement and retention: DS identifies drivers of
employee engagement and retention, such as work-life balance,
recognition, and career development opportunities.
4. Diversity and inclusion: DS can help identify patterns of bias and
discrimination in hiring, performance evaluation, and compensation.
This can help in creating more equitable and inclusive workplace
practices.
