Benefits Of Early Childhood Education
INTRODUCTION Early childhood education has not always been the top priority in the education world. Although, research has proved that it
should be the top priority as the benefits of Early Childhood Education are innumerous. Extensive neuroscience research has discovered that the
brain is build over time and it is built from the bottom up. Early childhood experiences directly affect the quality brain development. Establishing a
sturdy foundation through a high quality early childhood education experience, will dramatically develop child's brain. As a result, they will have a
brighter future. In this essay, I will propose a plan for the children of 2020 and how to ensure the best early childhood education experience. I
personally believe that racially, culturally, linguistically and developmentally responsive practices parental involvement are critical to the sturdy
foundation that is essential to the positive early childhood experience. RACIALLY, CULTURALLY, LINGUISTICALLY, AND
DEVELOPMENTALLY RESPONSIVE PRACTICES I believe that racially, culturally, linguistically responsive practices are essential to creating a
fruitful learning experience for any child at any age. With that said, it is exceptionally important for children in the early childhood age group to be
taught appropriately. Due to the way the brain develops, children are very susceptible to new information. When taught repetitively over a period of
time, it then becomes part of who they are and their own

Personal Benefits Of Education
Throughout my academic career every academic personnel I have ever encountered has always said, in some version, "The more education you obtain
the more money, experiences and opportunities you will be able to receive within your lifetime." These words of wisdom have propelled me to gain as
much education as I can, while sharing all the knowledge that I have obtained with others. As I progressed through my education I have seen this
wisdom to be true. By furthering my education, I have been able to meet people from all walks of life and careers, I have been able to travel all
throughout Europe and see the places that I had only been able to learn and see within the pages of my textbooks, and I have been able to learn and
understand some of the most complex issues that continue to plague society. Being a witness to the benefits that education has brought me to be
someone that helps others obtain the benefits of education.
Many believe that education can solely be gained within the classroom, to me education and knowledge is not limited to the classroom, but is gained
through every encounter you have with someone, no matter their age. Meaning education is obtained not only through the classroom setting, but also
through life experiences and from others. This openness to the mutual sharing of knowledge is the mindset and approach I have used to teach and or
tutor others over my high school and collegiate career. During high school, I had the privilege of being a peer mentor to

Essay on What Is the Purpose of Education?
Getting educated is very important for every person. It goes without saying that each of us has to have a proper education. We learn how to read,
count and write. These are the basic abilities we acquire and use during our life. Is there any other purpose of education or it is aimed only at giving
us a possibility to communicate our ideas and satisfy basic needs? During centuries, there were different interpretations of the purpose of education.
Many scientists, pedagogues and philosophers tried to answer the question: what is the purpose of education? Taking into consideration the needs and
tendencies of a modern society, we can assume that the purpose of education is to prepare students to be self–sufficient citizens capable of solving

Our education should be aimed at educating people who love the world they lie in and who are ready to become peacemakers and healers of the
world (Orr 55). A sustainable society "consists" of citizens, workers, specialists, technicians, etc, who are ready to work in order to build and
support such society. One of the ways to provide such education is to "get outdoor". The skills and abilities develop in real world and not in
artificial situations in class. In this regard, we may refer to the Plato's "Allegory of the Cave". One should "touch" the real world problems and get
personal experience from it. Shadows in the cave are the retrospectives of the real knowledge. To acquire the knowledge, we should leave the "cave".
We can learn theory separated from practice and this will not have any result. Instead, we should understand that every individual is a part of the
natural world, thus, education should be based on ecological literacy as "health of our planet" is one of the most urgent questions of the modern social
community.
For many centuries, the principles of the classical education were in the spotlight. The good of the individual, realizing his/her own potential were the
purposes of the learning process. Cultural development is the aim of the classical education. It stands above everything, including religion. (Nietzsche,
n. p.). Referring to Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" to interpret the classical education in modern society, we can say that

Benefits of Early Childhood Education The earlier you enrich a child's life with an education, the greater the outcome will be in the future. Parents are
the first teachers of young children. Children acquire their knowledge and actions from observing their parents. That is how their minds develop and
how they obtain certain skills. They learn the basis of reading and writing skills at young ages. Having an early education helps later down the road
with saving money. Early Childhood Education leads to social and emotional development, increased literacy, and fiscal savings. The first outcome of
early childhood Education is social and emotional development. The key to a critical foundation for lifelong learning and development is positive social
and emotional development (Social & Emotional Development). Social and emotional development helps to navigate young children in supportive
relationships with other young children (Social & Emotional...show more content...
Having a high education is one of the largest factors for saving money and helping the economy. Children with a higher literacy rate pay fewer taxes,
earn more money, and are less susceptible to commit a crime (Calman and Tarr–Whelan 2). Having children with a good background in school helps
the economy. These children are more likely to get jobs, work efficiently, and buy things (Calman and Tarr
–Whelan 2). By being educated you save
money and with that money they are able to buy things they want, which boost the economy. Children that have an early education save time and
money by not needing extra or special classes that can be costly (Calman and Tarr–Whelan 4). Inadequate education in young children leads to
excessive spending that is not necessary or is unsuccessful (Trostel 1). Not only does an early education give development and literacy skills, it also

Why I Chose Early Childhood Education
"Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I remember."– Benjamin Franklin In my 24 years of experience employed with the Department of Education I
have found that working with children watching as they grow is inspiring as much as it is rewarding. Teaching helps one to sharpen their skills on all

The Benefits of Higher Education Essay
Higher education in the United States arose as an answer to the need to train clergy for the seminary. Throughout the centuries, higher education has
evolved to become one of the principal means in educating individuals in specific areas of study. Individuals seek higher education to become more
proficient in a particular occupation, area of study, or as a requisite for employment or advancement in specific fields such as engineering, management,
or the sciences. The benefits that individuals who attend institutions of higher learning realize are more than education; the benefits are numerous and
consist of socioeconomic benefits as well as personal benefits for the scholar, including income benefits, employment advantages as well as...show more

These benefits affect local institutions that depend on volunteers to operate such as food and homeless shelters, Habitat for Humanity, local Boy's and
Girl's Clubs, as well as various other charities who rely on volunteers. Moreover, the more individuals who vote influence the overall government and
its policies, supporting the ideology of our founding fathers. Government is a reflection of the will of a greater number of citizens, and individuals with
more education vote more often than less educated persons, therefore, educating society as a whole improves a democratic form of government.
In addition to the above–mentioned social benefits, one may also note that higher education also contributes to the creation, development, and operation
of public institutions. While discussing non–market private and social benefits of higher education, Walter W. McMahon, in his report "Advancing
Higher Education," states, "...they likely contribute more than proportionately to the development of civic institutions, democratic institutions, and rule
of law. These benefits in turn set the stage for substantial economic growth" (McMahon, Advancing). He goes on to state, "Civil institutions are built,
new ideas are generated, and environmental conditions are put in place such as lower state crime, welfare, health and incarceration costs that

Benefits Of Technology In Education
No one can deny that technology is becoming a major portion of daily life. The use of technology is impacting the use of medicine, transportation, and
work in an unprecedented way allowing for innovations to happen daily. With such rapid expansion, it did not take long for technology to spread into
the classroom. Technology started influencing lectures with power points, videos, games, and supplemental material that enhance the grasp of specific
concepts to allow for more than one means of learning. But is this wide acceptance of technology something that will benefit learning for all students?
Success stories are cited from Wales, where an adaptive electronic learning platform brought down failure rates from 37% to 7% (Kurshan). But...show

Now this technological classroom was not always feasible due to the potential cost. However, with more technological innovations happening to
make things like computers and phones faster, the cost tends to go down. One can find a model older version of a laptop that is sufficient for school
use for a much lower cost than release. This would allow schools to have laptops and tablets for students to use for those that cannot afford one. A
rental policy could also be put in place to take the laptop home with an inexpensive mobile network tool in order to provide internet access to complete
online/technological assignments at home. This would especially be effective in lower–income family homes to ensure every student has an equal
opportunity to succeed. However, there is opposition to the incorporation of technology. This concern stems mostly from weighing the pros and cons of
efficient learning with quality learning. Apple states that an over–reliance in technology creates people not skilled in any other area (qtd. in Kemp
2014). What this means is that while there is an abundance of knowledge available, it takes away the human aspect of being a good teacher and giving
a whole understanding of a topic (Kemp 6).
Perhaps the criticisms for technology being used is a question of human nature. This is apparent in the concern that

Essay The Importance of Education

why there is so much emphasis placed upon obtaining a good education. This is why some people do not put in as much effort as they should. It is
important that everyone understand the many benefits of education aside from getting a job and earning a salary. This knowledge will help you to
develop an attitude that is conducive to learning. You will enjoy the true benefits of education. This essay will explore a number of reasons why
education is so important.

Fun and Adventure
People view formal education in a negative light. This is schooling where people only look at voluminous books, boring teachers and hard exams.
Education is actually fun and adventurous. You learn about new things, meet new people and pursue new interests. It gives you a chance to interact
with people other than your neighbors and family members. It also provides an escape for those who suffer from stressful situations at home. You
should adopt a positive attitude towards education. This attitude will help you see the fun in education. Adopt it today.
Build a Network
You need friends who care about you. Finding good friends is not easy. It takes time, patience and perseverance. Experience is usually the best way of
finding good friends. Education allows you to gain this experience by interacting with people within formal and informal settings. You know people
better through these experiences. This helps you to choose a close group of good friends. This group will then become your network within society's
entangled web of networks. You can call upon this network in times of trouble. You will find it hard to build a network of friends and colleagues
without education. This means that you should pursue education as much as you can.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Education
Education is undeniably vital and essential for people from all walks of life. Education is the key to success, and as we all know it, there are too
many reason why education is important in our lives but none on the disadvantages of it because education only brings benefits towards us. According
to Oxford Dictionary, the word 'education' is derived from Latin, Д“ducДЃtiЕЌ in the mid–16th century and is defined as "the process of receiving or
giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university." The origin of education began as story–telling passed knowledge and now it has

Students are often heard whining to their parents about school and finding a thousand and one excuses not to go to school but as little as we realize,
schools actually help build our character and leads us to our career progression. An educated individual is capable of planning for the future, choosing
the right decisions in life and behaving appropriately. Education is not only a pathway to our career but also paves the path to disillusionment. It gives
us the insight on what is right and wrong, making clear judgements and shapes our personalities. The nation's growth depends on the literacy of the
people. "Education is much more than an entry to the job market. It has the power to shape a sustainable future and better world." (Unknown, 2012)
With the help of education, one can easily get an entry of a job while at the same time help develop the nation. Most countries realized that in this
competitive world, education is important for the social progress and economic growth of a nation. As John F. Kennedy quotes, "our progress as a
nation can be no swifter than our progress in education. The human mind is our fundamental resource." In simple words, brain beats brawn, which is
used to define a country. A country with no education cannot win over a country with enhanced technology and strategic

education will also make you surround yourself with people that will push you to become your best self. Education is also the hope most blue–collar

As the gateway to the American middle–class shrinks and companies wrestle for top spots in the economy, employers and organizations seek the most
prestigious young adults and graduates. In today's modern society, this means that people with college degrees will land jobs that others don't. Many
citizens believe a college education is unnecessary to make a sufficient living. This might be true on some occasions, but a college education has a

Not only will a college education bring in more money from paychecks, but will also brighten up resumes and improve your people skills. College
puts you through invaluable experiences where you learn real–world skills such as time–management and critical thinking. Even though the
information you learn in the classroom is relevant, these real–world skills are priceless. You also gain additional credibility with a college degree. If an
employer has two well–experienced applicants to chose from and one of them has a college degree, then ultimately the employer would choose the
applicant with the college degree. The label on your degree is also insignificant unless you are pursuing to become a teacher, lawyer, architect, doctor,

Besides improving credibility and increasing pay, a college degree can help you live a healthier, a more social and contributing life. Studies show that

Essay On Advantages Of Teaching
Advantages of Teaching
Before choosing to pursue any profession the pros and cons of entering that particular field of work need to be weighed. In a survey by the National
Education Association that appeared on the organization's website during a two week period, 79% of the respondents said they would consider going
into teaching compared to the 21% that said they would not (National Education Association website, 2002). Obviously, choosing teaching as a career
must have some rewards if so many people are considering entering the education field. One of the positive reasons swaying people to become
teachers is that teachers are able to have very flexible schedules.

Coming out with a degree in education has a high likelihood of finding a job, due to the dire need for teachers.
Due to the great demand for teachers many extra incentives are being offered to entice potential teachers to commit to the profession. Many state and
districts have started to implement creative recruitment strategies. Some of the perks for newly hired teachers include "subsidized mortgages, job
sharing arrangements, labtop computers and health club memberships" (Peske, 2001). Pursuing a career in teaching not only gives a good chance of
having secure employment but also offers extra perks.
There are several specific subjects that in particular demand teachers, that provide an even better opportunity for job security. Science and math are
two areas where there is an extreme need for teachers. "The growing shortfall of qualified teachers – is so acute in math and science that 95 percent of
urban school systems report an immediate need for teachers" (Hartigan, 2002). The need for science and math teachers is so great that some schools
hire qualified individuals from foreign countries (NewsMax.com, 2001). The fact that in order to fill the need for math and science teachers the U.S.
must turn to other countries evidences that if someone goes out looking for a job in teaching with a background in science or math they will find
plenty of teaching opportunities.
Another area where teachers are needed is

benefits are closely connected to each other. College has a lot to do with networking, in college, we have study groups, internship, all different kinds
of programs and clubs, throughout these activities we are always forced to interact with people that might have different personality with us.
College does push students from different backgrounds into uncomfortable and unavoidable social situation come together, it helps us get out of our
comfort zone and try to start the awkward but friendly conversation with our classmates or professors. We might be surprised at what we could

a nice relationship with your classmates and teachers because you never know if your classmates would work at the office that you will have an

In the near future, I expect to gain many important aspects from my college education. The first and most important thing I hope to gain from this

Online learning has limited social interaction. This is because limited opportunities are provided for students to interact face–to–face to professors and
other students. Students may also have to face the problem like they have to wait for hours for reply of professors to questions. This is because
professors are not always online. The professors may have their personal time to do their own things. Apart from that, students are difficult to develop
relationships with classmates when study online. This is because students do not have the social interaction with their classmates. Hence, online
learning is a better choice for a shy person as they no need to worry about interacting with other students. However, students will lose chance to have
the opportunity to interact face to face with their classmates or even work as teamwork with their classmates which can be helpful for their study
purposes when they study online. Through teamwork, students can learn the importance of cooperation as according to Aristotle, "Man is by nature a
social animal." Man's nature is such that he cannot afford to live alone. No human being is known to have normally developed in isolation. Online
learning cannot provide the opportunity for students to learn about cooperation. This is because most of the communications are through e–mail, chat

is another key attribute that students learn in the early years of preschool. Such simple tasks like tying your shoes or zippering up a coat all contribute

for them. Another important life lesson that they learn early on and will carry with them for the rest of their lives is that they are accountable of the
decisions they make. A teacher may give them an option of a particular juice or snack at snack time; this particular choice must be thought out carefully
because once they?ve taken the juice or snack they can?t change it (Rhodes, 1999). This teaches them to conscientiously think about the decisions they
are about to make, knowing that they have to live with their decisions.

Benefits Of A College Education
There are countless of benefits when going to college, as there is a greater significance to a college education than money. You will gain the
knowledge that will get you further in life than others. Expanding the way you learn, think, and express yourself is necessary if you want to be
successful in whatever you decide to do. Without a college education, you will not have many choices when looking for a job. An associate,
bachelors, masters, and so on, will help you with a career of your choice. Should All Students go to College or Not? I believe only people who are
determined to succeed should go to college. However, what type of college? Should you go to a trade school? Community college? Four–year
university? That is up to you and only you. Don't go to college because others tell you it is an elite choice. Instead, go for your well–being.
In the essay "College In America," Caroline Bird discusses how all high school graduates are pushed to pursuing higher education; however, college is
not the best choice for all. Americans think every high school alumni should attend college. In the American culture there are expectations that buildup
competition, making elders believe that it is necessary and "natural" for everyone to get an education. During the 1950's, America was the first to
believe in pursuing higher education. Then, during the 1960's, state universities were rapidly built making elders such as parents wanting all young
people to attend college (Bird 206–07).

Benefits Of Early Childhood Education

  • 1. Benefits Of Early Childhood Education INTRODUCTION Early childhood education has not always been the top priority in the education world. Although, research has proved that it should be the top priority as the benefits of Early Childhood Education are innumerous. Extensive neuroscience research has discovered that the brain is build over time and it is built from the bottom up. Early childhood experiences directly affect the quality brain development. Establishing a sturdy foundation through a high quality early childhood education experience, will dramatically develop child's brain. As a result, they will have a brighter future. In this essay, I will propose a plan for the children of 2020 and how to ensure the best early childhood education experience. I personally believe that racially, culturally, linguistically and developmentally responsive practices parental involvement are critical to the sturdy foundation that is essential to the positive early childhood experience. RACIALLY, CULTURALLY, LINGUISTICALLY, AND DEVELOPMENTALLY RESPONSIVE PRACTICES I believe that racially, culturally, linguistically responsive practices are essential to creating a fruitful learning experience for any child at any age. With that said, it is exceptionally important for children in the early childhood age group to be taught appropriately. Due to the way the brain develops, children are very susceptible to new information. When taught repetitively over a period of time, it then becomes part of who they are and their own Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Personal Benefits Of Education Throughout my academic career every academic personnel I have ever encountered has always said, in some version, "The more education you obtain the more money, experiences and opportunities you will be able to receive within your lifetime." These words of wisdom have propelled me to gain as much education as I can, while sharing all the knowledge that I have obtained with others. As I progressed through my education I have seen this wisdom to be true. By furthering my education, I have been able to meet people from all walks of life and careers, I have been able to travel all throughout Europe and see the places that I had only been able to learn and see within the pages of my textbooks, and I have been able to learn and understand some of the most complex issues that continue to plague society. Being a witness to the benefits that education has brought me to be someone that helps others obtain the benefits of education. Many believe that education can solely be gained within the classroom, to me education and knowledge is not limited to the classroom, but is gained through every encounter you have with someone, no matter their age. Meaning education is obtained not only through the classroom setting, but also through life experiences and from others. This openness to the mutual sharing of knowledge is the mindset and approach I have used to teach and or tutor others over my high school and collegiate career. During high school, I had the privilege of being a peer mentor to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Essay on What Is the Purpose of Education? Getting educated is very important for every person. It goes without saying that each of us has to have a proper education. We learn how to read, count and write. These are the basic abilities we acquire and use during our life. Is there any other purpose of education or it is aimed only at giving us a possibility to communicate our ideas and satisfy basic needs? During centuries, there were different interpretations of the purpose of education. Many scientists, pedagogues and philosophers tried to answer the question: what is the purpose of education? Taking into consideration the needs and tendencies of a modern society, we can assume that the purpose of education is to prepare students to be self–sufficient citizens capable of solving ...show more content... Our education should be aimed at educating people who love the world they lie in and who are ready to become peacemakers and healers of the world (Orr 55). A sustainable society "consists" of citizens, workers, specialists, technicians, etc, who are ready to work in order to build and support such society. One of the ways to provide such education is to "get outdoor". The skills and abilities develop in real world and not in artificial situations in class. In this regard, we may refer to the Plato's "Allegory of the Cave". One should "touch" the real world problems and get personal experience from it. Shadows in the cave are the retrospectives of the real knowledge. To acquire the knowledge, we should leave the "cave". We can learn theory separated from practice and this will not have any result. Instead, we should understand that every individual is a part of the natural world, thus, education should be based on ecological literacy as "health of our planet" is one of the most urgent questions of the modern social community. For many centuries, the principles of the classical education were in the spotlight. The good of the individual, realizing his/her own potential were the purposes of the learning process. Cultural development is the aim of the classical education. It stands above everything, including religion. (Nietzsche, n. p.). Referring to Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" to interpret the classical education in modern society, we can say that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Benefits Of Early Childhood Education Essay Kendall Blaich Mr. Bergmann AP English 8 September 2015 Benefits of Early Childhood Education The earlier you enrich a child's life with an education, the greater the outcome will be in the future. Parents are the first teachers of young children. Children acquire their knowledge and actions from observing their parents. That is how their minds develop and how they obtain certain skills. They learn the basis of reading and writing skills at young ages. Having an early education helps later down the road with saving money. Early Childhood Education leads to social and emotional development, increased literacy, and fiscal savings. The first outcome of early childhood Education is social and emotional development. The key to a critical foundation for lifelong learning and development is positive social and emotional development (Social & Emotional Development). Social and emotional development helps to navigate young children in supportive relationships with other young children (Social & Emotional...show more content... Having a high education is one of the largest factors for saving money and helping the economy. Children with a higher literacy rate pay fewer taxes, earn more money, and are less susceptible to commit a crime (Calman and Tarr–Whelan 2). Having children with a good background in school helps the economy. These children are more likely to get jobs, work efficiently, and buy things (Calman and Tarr –Whelan 2). By being educated you save money and with that money they are able to buy things they want, which boost the economy. Children that have an early education save time and money by not needing extra or special classes that can be costly (Calman and Tarr–Whelan 4). Inadequate education in young children leads to excessive spending that is not necessary or is unsuccessful (Trostel 1). • 6. The Benefits of Higher Education Essay Higher education in the United States arose as an answer to the need to train clergy for the seminary. Throughout the centuries, higher education has evolved to become one of the principal means in educating individuals in specific areas of study. Individuals seek higher education to become more proficient in a particular occupation, area of study, or as a requisite for employment or advancement in specific fields such as engineering, management, or the sciences. The benefits that individuals who attend institutions of higher learning realize are more than education; the benefits are numerous and consist of socioeconomic benefits as well as personal benefits for the scholar, including income benefits, employment advantages as well as...show more content... These benefits affect local institutions that depend on volunteers to operate such as food and homeless shelters, Habitat for Humanity, local Boy's and Girl's Clubs, as well as various other charities who rely on volunteers. Moreover, the more individuals who vote influence the overall government and its policies, supporting the ideology of our founding fathers. Government is a reflection of the will of a greater number of citizens, and individuals with more education vote more often than less educated persons, therefore, educating society as a whole improves a democratic form of government. In addition to the above–mentioned social benefits, one may also note that higher education also contributes to the creation, development, and operation of public institutions. While discussing non–market private and social benefits of higher education, Walter W. McMahon, in his report "Advancing Higher Education," states, "...they likely contribute more than proportionately to the development of civic institutions, democratic institutions, and rule of law. These benefits in turn set the stage for substantial economic growth" (McMahon, Advancing). He goes on to state, "Civil institutions are built, new ideas are generated, and environmental conditions are put in place such as lower state crime, welfare, health and incarceration costs that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Benefits Of Technology In Education No one can deny that technology is becoming a major portion of daily life. The use of technology is impacting the use of medicine, transportation, and work in an unprecedented way allowing for innovations to happen daily. With such rapid expansion, it did not take long for technology to spread into the classroom. Technology started influencing lectures with power points, videos, games, and supplemental material that enhance the grasp of specific concepts to allow for more than one means of learning. But is this wide acceptance of technology something that will benefit learning for all students? Success stories are cited from Wales, where an adaptive electronic learning platform brought down failure rates from 37% to 7% (Kurshan). But...show more content... Now this technological classroom was not always feasible due to the potential cost. However, with more technological innovations happening to make things like computers and phones faster, the cost tends to go down. One can find a model older version of a laptop that is sufficient for school use for a much lower cost than release. This would allow schools to have laptops and tablets for students to use for those that cannot afford one. A rental policy could also be put in place to take the laptop home with an inexpensive mobile network tool in order to provide internet access to complete online/technological assignments at home. This would especially be effective in lower–income family homes to ensure every student has an equal opportunity to succeed. However, there is opposition to the incorporation of technology. This concern stems mostly from weighing the pros and cons of efficient learning with quality learning. Apple states that an over–reliance in technology creates people not skilled in any other area (qtd. in Kemp 2014). What this means is that while there is an abundance of knowledge available, it takes away the human aspect of being a good teacher and giving a whole understanding of a topic (Kemp 6). Perhaps the criticisms for technology being used is a question of human nature. This is apparent in the concern that Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Students are often heard whining to their parents about school and finding a thousand and one excuses not to go to school but as little as we realize, schools actually help build our character and leads us to our career progression. An educated individual is capable of planning for the future, choosing the right decisions in life and behaving appropriately. Education is not only a pathway to our career but also paves the path to disillusionment. It gives us the insight on what is right and wrong, making clear judgements and shapes our personalities. The nation's growth depends on the literacy of the people. "Education is much more than an entry to the job market. It has the power to shape a sustainable future and better world." Most countries realized that in this competitive world, education is important for the social progress and economic growth of a nation. As John F. In a survey by the National Education Association that appeared on the organization's website during a two week period, 79% of the respondents said they would consider going into teaching compared to the 21% that said they would not (National Education Association website, 2002). Due to the great demand for teachers many extra incentives are being offered to entice potential teachers to commit to the profession. Many state and districts have started to implement creative recruitment strategies. Some of the perks for newly hired teachers include "subsidized mortgages, job sharing arrangements, labtop computers and health club memberships" (Peske, 2001). Pursuing a career in teaching not only gives a good chance of having secure employment but also offers extra perks. There are several specific subjects that in particular demand teachers, that provide an even better opportunity for job security. Science and math are two areas where there is an extreme need for teachers. "The growing shortfall of qualified teachers – is so acute in math and science that 95 percent of urban school systems report an immediate need for teachers" (Hartigan, 2002). The need for science and math teachers is so great that some schools hire qualified individuals from foreign countries (NewsMax.com, 2001). The fact that in order to fill the need for math and science teachers the U.S. must turn to other countries evidences that if someone goes out looking for a job in teaching with a background in science or math they will find plenty of teaching opportunities. College does push students from different backgrounds into uncomfortable and unavoidable social situation come together, it helps us get out of our comfort zone and try to start the awkward but friendly conversation with our classmates or professors. We might be surprised at what we could learn from others. Also we never know where a new friendship will eventually take us. When I was in college, my instructors always told us to keep a nice relationship with your classmates and teachers because you never know if your classmates would work at the office that you will have an interview in the future. If they can say something good for you, then your chances of getting that job will be increased a lot. Consequently, online learning will be a better learning method in the future. This is because online learning can be done as long as there have internet connection. However, does online learning greatly benefits students? From my point of view, I partially agree that online learning greatly benefits students. This is because although online learning has benefits such as convenience, promotes self–access interactive learning and develop self–discipline to students, online learning also ...show more content... Online learning has limited social interaction. This is because limited opportunities are provided for students to interact face–to–face to professors and other students. Students may also have to face the problem like they have to wait for hours for reply of professors to questions. This is because professors are not always online. The professors may have their personal time to do their own things. Apart from that, students are difficult to develop relationships with classmates when study online. Such things as respect, responsibility, and empathy for their fellow peers are all characteristics they acquire while attending preschool. Independence is another key attribute that students learn in the early years of preschool. Such simple tasks like tying your shoes or zippering up a coat all contribute to the independence of these small children. Anything that allows them to do for themselves, rather than rely on the help of others is a positive thing for them. Another important life lesson that they learn early on and will carry with them for the rest of their lives is that they are accountable of the decisions they make. A teacher may give them an option of a particular juice or snack at snack time; this particular choice must be thought out carefully because once they?ve taken the juice or snack they can?t change it (Rhodes, 1999). This teaches them to conscientiously think about the decisions they are about to make, knowing that they have to live with their decisions. The long term benefits of quality preschool programs can be noticed even after high school and college.
