Essay on The Three R’s – How Green You Can Be
We have an effect on everything in our environment including the air, water, land, plants, and animals and of course, ourselves. We need a healthy
environment for our own health and happiness so you can see why waste management is so important. We must carefully control the waste we create to
make sure it does not harm our environment and our health. You can contribute in many ways. The most important things that you can be aware of and
participate in are to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle – The Three R's. To reduce is to lessen. To reuse is to use again. To recycle is to recover raw
materials and reuse them to create new products.
The most important of the Three R's is Reduce or lessen. You can have the most impact on the environment by...show more content...
Alternatively, make sure that when you are through with something, you pass it on to someone else who can use it. As a consumer, here are a few
more things that you can do to aid in the process. When buying you can make wise packaging choices. You can reducewaste by selecting products that
are not wasteful in their packaging. Stay away from single serve packaging, you can buy items in larger recyclable bottles or cans and then divide it
up into smaller portions in reusable, washable containers. Moreover, always take a reusable bag with you to carry the items you buy to reduce the
use of plastic bags. There are also things that you can do in your home; to start with, you can replace your light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs.
When using water you can reduce your usage by not rinsing your dishes before you put them into the washer and turn the tap off while brushing your
teeth. You can also take shorter showers and wash your clothes in warm or cold water. Switch off anything that uses electricity– shut off as many
electrical appliances as possible when you leave a room or unplug them if you are going to be gone for an extended period. Even when an appliance
is off, it may still use power. Whenever possible, use the Internet to get and pay bills, and to read the news, catalogs, stock reports and other

100 Ways To Save Mother Earth– Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Respond
Our Mother Earth is currently suffering from different types of pollution brought about by humans. And with this, a lot of negative effects have
emerged. Reports of flash floods brought about by illegal logging can be seen on the news. Destruction of the forest and exploitation of wild life
resulted in the extinction of exotic animals. Increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere brought global warming.
There are numerous environmental issues that we have to address. Where do we start? The answer is simple: Within ourselves. If every single person
in the entire planet will care about their environment and do their part, it can bring about a lot of change and we can save our...show more content...

Essay on The Importance of Recycling
These days, our earth has been filled by a lot of waste. There is a lot of garbage, plastic waste, and electronic waste. We always produce it and dump
it when we need the new one. Our waste are piling up and continuously accumulating. Plastic waste is one of the biggest problems for us now. And our
solution in this problem is recycling. In my opinion, recycling is a way to manage used items into new products. We can reduce, reuse, and recycling
(3R) waste management (Peter, 2013). We can reduce our waste clothes with reuse it. There are some reasons why peoples recycle used or unwanted
items, which are, prevent wasting unusable materials that still have usage after recycled, reduce the application of raw materials, reduce energy...show

We know that nowadays plastic is the one materials that widely used by human in all of the country. Most of our goods become from plastic. The
bad news is, plastics wastes that come from our unusable goods end up in the oceans. There are 60% to 80% plastic wastes on the sea are coming
from the land and it will cause a big problem to 267 sea species in this world (Moore, Lattin, & Zellers). That one example is more than enough to
start recycling our plastic waste. We can start from reduce and reuse first. For reduce example: when we buy something, we should prepare our
own bag to put the goods we buy, dispose the waste according to the bin that specially provided for plastic, use a refill bottle for our drink bottle,
and prefer a paper bag than plastic bag. How about reuse plastic bag? Some of countries have creative company that selling fine art and use plastic
waste as the basic materials. One of the countries that have company like that is Indonesia. Indonesia has a lot of home industry that use plastic waste
as their main materials. They make new thing from plastic bottle, such as plastic flower art, windmill toys for children, table lamp, and house
accessories. Some schools in Indonesia teach the students how to reuse the plastic waste and make a fine art from it. Reduce and reuse the plastic
waste already counted as recycling the plastic waste. Never think

My Carbon Footprint
My Carbon Footprint This essay reviews my personal carbon footprint and discusses ways to manage it and reduce some of the biggest areas of
my resource consumption. The footprint calculator that I used required that I answer a series of questions about my consumption habits, and
based on the answers I provided, showed the impact of my lifestyle on the planet. The footprint calculator uses data for selected countries, based on
National Footprint Accounts. The online calculator asked questions to determine how to distribute the ecological footprint into different
categories based on the country's average consumption profile. In addition to calculating the amount of carbon a person is responsible for through
their daily activities, the calculator also estimated a total ecological footprint to represent the amount of land and sea area required to provide the
resources a person needs and to absorb their carbon emissions. According to the calculator, if everyone lived like me, we would need 5.1 Planet
Earths to provide enough resources to sustain us all. More specifically, I produce 23.4 tons of carbon dioxide per year and my lifestyle requires
22.7 global acres of the earth's productive area. My footprint breaks down as follows: services that I consume account for 39%, food accounts for
27%, goods for 17%, shelter for 11%, and mobility for 6%. The footprint calculator also made suggestions regarding ways to reduce my impact on the
planet. For example, I could reduce the

Saving The Environment Essay
When I imagine the world, I imagine a world with blue skies, green grass and trees, crystal water and fresh air. This sounds pretty good, moreover
imagine a world where the skies are gone, where trees become scarce and the water is a bonus that just limited people can have it. Where the jungles
and the animal species were only part of the history. Imagine a world where all people needs to wear protection like anti–pollutions masks to breathe
and special clothes to protect their skin against the UV rays. A world where the planet earth temperature can increase at extremely levels that is
impossible to bear for walk or play. In this time, we cannot imagine a world where all the natural resources are gone and consequently the human
extension is a reality. These toughs can be just imaginary, but what if they become real? Is it possible that these thoughts really happened? Serious
environmental problems are happening at this time. These complications happen for one simple reason, people do not pay attention about the
importance of caring the environment and saving natural resources for future generations. There is one activity that includes reusing materials or
products to save energy and raw materials, looks like a good solution for all the environmental problems occurring in our planet. Since early ages,
people had been learning about the word recycle. Many people know the meaning and the purpose of recycling. The real concern is that recycling is

Is Recycling Important?
Attention Getter: According to epa.gov, "Each person in the United States produces an average of 4 pounds of household hazardous waste each year
for a total of about 530,000 tons/year."
Background: Trash continues to increase, as the world continues to last. Easy disposable products such as water bottles and soda cans has led to
increasing amount of pollution around the world.
Audience Relevance: Recycling is something most people choose to ignore. Recycling helps the world by reusing trash to make new products. As a
result, this helps reduce the amount of trash that rot in landfills and pollution.

Recently, oceanographers and ecologists discovered that about 70% of marine debris actually sinks to the bottom of the ocean. As a result, not
recycling hurts the marine life as it leaves leftovers behind to rot. This is important because it affects the whole world we live in. Our mess our the
result of our world.
Transition to 2nd Main Point: I have just finished talking about the problem. Next I will talk about the causes of not recycling.
Main Point2: Robert Orben, a comedian writer states "There 's so much pollution in the air now that if it weren 't for our lungs there 'd be no place to
put it all". As a result, we should we should start recycling and stop leaving trash behind. This is significant because the problem of not recycling
causes pollution. Pollution we create is harming the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we drink.
Sub–point A: With plastic being everywhere, everytime it gets thrown away or washed down, the toxic pollutants enter the environment and do harm.
Trash dumps and landfills are also major problems as they allow pollutants to affect the land and water. It sends chemicals everywhere to harm the
environment. The landfills are taking too much space and releases greenhouse gas, methane. It is 25 more times potent than carbon dioxide.
Sub–point B: The causes of not recycling, leaves pollution. With pollution is that it wrecks the natural environment. Pollution becomes

Introduction
Made from vegetable fibres called cellulose, paper as we know it today was first created in China more than two thousand years ago. Since the advent
of the printing press in the 15th century, its use has spread across all continents to the extent that, currently, it is hard to imagine the world without this
versatile material. More than 400 million tonnes of paper and cardboard are produced worldwide every year, with more than half coming from
recovered sources.
Thus recycling of paper plays an important role in meeting the demand for increasing paper use. Recycling used paper and cardboard has significant
advantages over other disposal options – namely landfill and incineration.
Abstract
Since a lot of waste paper is produced in IIST, paper recycling can serve as an economical way to reduce waste and reuse the recovered paper. Since
most of the waste in IIST comes from papers (mostly printed A4 sheets and newspapers), recycling of this waste on small

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! There are many things that get thrown away on a daily basis. Have you ever wondered how the garbage that you are
producing everyday affects the planet? Clearly most of the garbage that people throughout the country produce cannot have a positive effect on the
planet. Many people don't realize that paper, plastic, and any cans are the most recyclable items out there. One can simply reduce the use of plastic
water bottles by buying a refillable water bottle and using that every day to drink your beverages. There are many people that say recycling is a waste of
time and the cost for recycling is way too much. Other also say that they don't recycle because they don't think it is worth it or important or they
just simply don't care about it at all. Although this may be true, recycling is one of the many things being done to try and reduce the amount of
damage being done to the earth. Doing things as simple as buying a refillable water bottle, doing all paperwork electronically, and talking to others
about the efforts you have made to make the Earth healthier and cleaner can really make a big change in the amount of garbage produced every day.
By doing so, one will not only be recycling, but also reducing the amount of garbage being produced and even find new ways to reuse as much plastic
and paper as possible.

Eco–Friendly products
Eco–friendly products are products that do not harm the environment, whether in their production, use or disposal.
Eco–friendly refers to anything that is good for the environment, also called as environmentally friendly or Green.
So an eco–friendly product refers to those products that do not affect or cause any harm to the environment.
Some of these going green products when in use, help conserve energy, minimize carbon footprint or the emission of greenhouse gases, and does not

Eco Friendly, Recyclable and Biodegradable Products
Plastics have become an indispensable ingredient to modern life. But the environmentally degradable plastics are finding innumerable opportunities
and application. Physical and chemical methods of pollution control were always in the forefront because they were easy to understand, easy to control
and were reproducible.
Biodegradation is the real mechanism of nature of balancing the material. A better option is to modify the materials, processes and products in such a
way that one can rely upon the biodegradation in nature, recalcitrance and bioaccumulation problems are overcome. We are slowly changing our
philosophy and are not merely targeting for clean–up or removal of pollutant but are aiming for prevention of pollution or facilitating biodegradation.
Bio plastics are biodegradable plastics, whose components are derived from renewable raw materials. These plastics can be made from abundant
agricultural/animal resources like cellulose, starch, casein collagen, soy protein polyesters and triglycerides. Large scale use of these would help in
preserving non–renewable resources like petroleum, natural gas and coal and contribute little to the

Trash Waste Essay
A simple chore: "take out the trash". Take the trash bag full of junk, place it in the bin, and let it sit till it's taken away. Now try to picture doing
this with the junk in your brain, complicated huh? Reality is, you could never fit all the trash you have ever owned into one trash bag. Our brain
is just the same, one trash bag will not fix the full garage of junk we have in our brain. The problem we face as humans are how we compare taking
out the literal trash and mental trash. That single trash bag isn't all the trash we have stored in our minds. The first bag of trash is only the light
layer upon layers underneath. One thing that strikes my brain while visualizing trash being taken out is, we wait until it's taken away! We are
waiting for someone else to pick up our own garbage and take it. It takes years and hard work to empty your trash on a daily basis. In my personal
experience, taking out the trash is no easy task. Through the past 3 months of health scares and injuries, I have come to realize that I was never
emptying my trash, but I was only moving it to the back of my brain. My family and I went out to New Mexico to hopefully heal what was broken
inside. Dr. Hao said something that I refused to believe at that point in time because at sixteen I should have life figured out right? He clearly stated,
"You aren't letting anything go." Quickly my brain fired back with this, "what do you mean, I've talked about my problems with counselors, my parents,

Pathos Of Recycling
This article is about a study that conducted an experiment to college undergraduate student in order to show that recycling is not always a good option
to have. The intended audience could be anyone for this article. For pathos of the study, the authors did single–blinded test on forty–four college
undergraduate students. They brought student separately in to a room, and asked them to test a pair of scissors by cutting papers that are available in
the room. For some of them, they have a trash bin in the room and for others, a recycling bin. According to the outcome of the experiment, the authors
want to demonstrate that people would waste more when they know that what they are wasting can be recycled. For ethos, the authors put in effort to
eliminate errors in the experiment in several ways. They "minimize suspicion by reinforcing the product evaluation component of the task."
"Participants were informed that they would be rating the scissors on a variety of dimensions using seven–point semantic differential scales." At the
end of the evaluation, they also asked the participants about the setup of the room to make sure the participants realized which type of receptacle they

Essay about Trash Talk
Literally let's talk trash, even in an environmental conscience society no one really wants to talk about how they dispose of their garbage and whether
they recycle or not. Regardless, the next time you throw something in the trash bin, stop and consider where well your garbage end up, most likely in
an over–crowded landfill. According to estimated statistic taken in 2006 "55% (percent) of our waste will be buried in landfills, 33% (percent) will
get recycled, and 12% (percent) will be burned in incinerators" (Human Footprint). Our garbage, whether it is buried, burned, or dumped is something
that should concern every one of us. Consequently most landfills constructed in the early 1930's were not properly designed to prevent leakage....show

Awareness created responsiveness in my home, not to mention the fine associated with non compliance. Recycling needs to be reconsidered for it is
earth's last line of defense. It makes more sense to reuse or reprocess materials and cut back on production rather than to manufacture new virgin
material. The environmental Defense Fund has noted that "the energy conserved through recycling is about five times as valuable as the average
cost of disposing trash in landfills in the US" (Gone Tomorrow 181). As we can see recycling is an intelligent decision it makes good sense, it will
help conserve our natural resources and be beneficial to our health and environment. Now we need to analyze recycling objectively in a different light
and take notice individually of the real benefits of recycling all of the glass, aluminum cans, plastics, paper products and metals that we consume daily.
When we recycle aluminum cans, plastic containers, glass, paper products and metals, we preserve space in our landfills and reduce the use of
chemicals. Chemicals are used to try and break down aluminum, glass and some plastics that are almost indestructible. Recycling alone will not solve
all our waste issues, although environmentally friendly, it tends to have its flaws. "Recycling does have its technical limits; recycled materials can only

Recycling to Preserve Our Environment Essay
Many people assume that the environment is not in danger. They believe that as technology advances, we do not need to worry about renewing natural
resources, recycling, and finding new ways to produce energy. They state that one person in the world does not make a large difference. In reality, each
individual's contribution greatly affects our environment. Our natural resources are slowly disappearing, and we must work together to save them and
the Earth from ruin. Recycling is important in the effort to preserve our environment for future generations. We are running out of locations to put

It seems like a small, insignificant action, but the way I see it, I save money on trash bags while getting a second use out of the plastic bags. Some
people would just throw away the bags and buy new trash bags, but doing that would send double the plastic bags to be filled in a landfill. Another
simple way to reduce landfill size and preserve resources is to refill water bottles. By refilling water bottles, people save a considerable amount of
energy and natural resources by not having to purchase single serve bottles, which are made of nonrenewable petroleum. Additionally, the plastic
manufacturing process is associated with toxic byproducts. Most people are reluctant to refill their water bottles because they assume that tap water
is not as ?clean? as bottled water. That is a common misconception, however. In 2000, a study in The Archives of Family Medicine compared 57
samples of bottled water to the tap water in Cleveland and found that while 39 samples of the bottled water were cleaner than tap, more than a dozen
had at least 10 times the bacterial levels found in the city's water. Tap water is often better regulated than bottled water and has to meet more stringent
health standards at both the federal and local levels. According to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protections (NJDEP) Solid Waste
Management Plan SectionB.1., ?Source Reduction is the first tier of the solid waste management hierarchy. The

community, more people will want to come live there. Participating in community events, not only helps the community as a whole by cleaning it up

Assessment Test 1: The Proposal
Recycling is the process of sorting, gathering and re using waste products to make new material. Virtually everything around us can be recycled or
may be made from other recycled products. Materials that can be recycled include: clothing, water, electronics, glass, paper, plastics, food scraps and
many more. Reducing, reusing and recycling these materials can help eliminate waste and protect the environment.
Our main focuses about sustainability are the three R's Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Getting students to think about and follow these 3 simple steps by
reducing what they need, reusing products more than once and recycling them has a huge impact to sustaining our environment as it can reduce waste
around the world.
Reducing the resources we already have and using just enough or less natural resources helps minimise waste and prevents people from overusing
resources. There is no point buying and using more than what's needed once the needs been met as the excess materials become waste. Rethinking
about the amount of materials needed in the first place will reduce the excess resources becoming waste (National Institute of Environmental Health
Sciences, 2014).
If the materials are reusable, reuse them if not; give them to someone who can reuse them! Re–using materials again is another great way to save
money as you won't have to buy a replacement, repair it or use it for something else and also the that product doesn't have to become waste as

Essay on Garbage, Recycling, and Waste Management
Garbage, Recycling, and Waste Management
There are already ways of getting rid of garbage so people won't have to see it or smell it. For example there is incineration, in which trash that can't be
recycled is burned. Although this meets the requirements mentioned above it has a downside. The burning itself causeswaste and eventually it will have
a bad effect on the environment. Recycling is a good process that reuses materials so they won't be wasted and cause waste. But many products are not
recyclable, like plastics.
There are a number of ways to solve the dilemma of collection and transportation of municipal solid waste. An underground system of conveyor belts to
the dump is a possibility. It would...show more content...
But that raises other questions. Obviously, it is evident that this form of disposal does not even dispose of the garbage as much as just simply putting
the trash in a garbage can.
I think the average person would say that it would be a lot easier to, instead of mining ourselves out of our resources, that it would be more
efficient to recycle the parts in our automobiles. That is easier said than done. I think if our politicians were aware of statistics like that, then they
would probably be more involved in helping our environment. Laws should be passed that instead of selling a dead car to a junkyard for a couple
hundred dollars, that people should have to recycle the materials used on those cars. Maybe there would be perks for doing so, but that would
definitely help out this crisis. Before all that can happen though, research needs to be made on how to successfully recycle these materials. Once this
can be done, through the cooperation of politicians, scientists, and automobile owners, we will soon be living in a better environment.
One of the problems with saying that people need to use more decomposable material is that most family members will not let their kin be buried
unless they're buried with class. Decomposable materials, like wood and certain chemicals, would not be considered "classy". Simply put, once
people decompose, they do not really need a coffin. If we are able to fashion these decomposable materials into better–looking coffins, I think it will

All over the globe, concerns about the increasing levels of harm that modern organizations pose to the environment have been prevalent. There is need
to ensure that companies invest in strategies and solutions that will enable them to reduce the amount and extent of harm caused by their operations to
the planet 's finite resources (Parry, 2012). It is against this background that the management of E227 Global Solutions has embarked on measures

Notably, both qualitative and quantitative studies related to how the idea of recycling materials helps conserve the environment will be examined in
detailed. Some of these sources will include content drawn from peer–reviewed scholarly articles, periodicals, and books written by renowned experts
on the subject.
It is worth noting that some of these publications will be concerned with the kind of techniques that contemporary organizations can use as part of
efforts aimed at reducing or eliminating sources of waste. For instance, Eltayeb, Zailani, and Ramayah in 2011 observed that the leaderships of
modern companies can pursue a variety of methods and use the same to get rid of unnecessary sources of waste. Similarly, Dangelico and Pujari in
2010 noted that a majority of modern firms have to deal with several types of materials that can easily be recycled rather than being discarded into the
environment.
The research process will also involve an explication of contemporary literature related with some of the companies that have managed to integrate
waste recycling into their operations with success. For example, a look at the work written by Zhu, Geng, Fujita and Hashimoto (2010) will provide
valuable insight about how multinational corporations having subsidiaries in Japan have managed to use the proposed strategy in minimizing the harm
caused by their operations to the environment. Such information will

  • 1. Essay on The Three R’s – How Green You Can Be We have an effect on everything in our environment including the air, water, land, plants, and animals and of course, ourselves. We need a healthy environment for our own health and happiness so you can see why waste management is so important. We must carefully control the waste we create to make sure it does not harm our environment and our health. You can contribute in many ways. The most important things that you can be aware of and participate in are to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle – The Three R's. To reduce is to lessen. To reuse is to use again. To recycle is to recover raw materials and reuse them to create new products. The most important of the Three R's is Reduce or lessen. You can have the most impact on the environment by...show more content... Alternatively, make sure that when you are through with something, you pass it on to someone else who can use it. As a consumer, here are a few more things that you can do to aid in the process. When buying you can make wise packaging choices. You can reducewaste by selecting products that are not wasteful in their packaging. Stay away from single serve packaging, you can buy items in larger recyclable bottles or cans and then divide it up into smaller portions in reusable, washable containers. Moreover, always take a reusable bag with you to carry the items you buy to reduce the use of plastic bags. There are also things that you can do in your home; to start with, you can replace your light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs. When using water you can reduce your usage by not rinsing your dishes before you put them into the washer and turn the tap off while brushing your teeth. You can also take shorter showers and wash your clothes in warm or cold water. Switch off anything that uses electricity– shut off as many electrical appliances as possible when you leave a room or unplug them if you are going to be gone for an extended period. Even when an appliance is off, it may still use power. Whenever possible, use the Internet to get and pay bills, and to read the news, catalogs, stock reports and other information that usually comes to your house in a Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 4. Essay on The Importance of Recycling These days, our earth has been filled by a lot of waste. There is a lot of garbage, plastic waste, and electronic waste. We always produce it and dump it when we need the new one. Our waste are piling up and continuously accumulating. Plastic waste is one of the biggest problems for us now. And our solution in this problem is recycling. In my opinion, recycling is a way to manage used items into new products. We can reduce, reuse, and recycling (3R) waste management (Peter, 2013). We can reduce our waste clothes with reuse it. There are some reasons why peoples recycle used or unwanted items, which are, prevent wasting unusable materials that still have usage after recycled, reduce the application of raw materials, reduce energy...show more content... We know that nowadays plastic is the one materials that widely used by human in all of the country. Most of our goods become from plastic. The bad news is, plastics wastes that come from our unusable goods end up in the oceans. There are 60% to 80% plastic wastes on the sea are coming from the land and it will cause a big problem to 267 sea species in this world (Moore, Lattin, & Zellers). That one example is more than enough to start recycling our plastic waste. We can start from reduce and reuse first. For reduce example: when we buy something, we should prepare our own bag to put the goods we buy, dispose the waste according to the bin that specially provided for plastic, use a refill bottle for our drink bottle, and prefer a paper bag than plastic bag. How about reuse plastic bag? Some of countries have creative company that selling fine art and use plastic waste as the basic materials. One of the countries that have company like that is Indonesia. Indonesia has a lot of home industry that use plastic waste as their main materials. They make new thing from plastic bottle, such as plastic flower art, windmill toys for children, table lamp, and house accessories. Some schools in Indonesia teach the students how to reuse the plastic waste and make a fine art from it. Reduce and reuse the plastic waste already counted as recycling the plastic waste. • 5. My Carbon Footprint My Carbon Footprint This essay reviews my personal carbon footprint and discusses ways to manage it and reduce some of the biggest areas of my resource consumption. The footprint calculator that I used required that I answer a series of questions about my consumption habits, and based on the answers I provided, showed the impact of my lifestyle on the planet. The footprint calculator uses data for selected countries, based on National Footprint Accounts. The online calculator asked questions to determine how to distribute the ecological footprint into different categories based on the country's average consumption profile. In addition to calculating the amount of carbon a person is responsible for through their daily activities, the calculator also estimated a total ecological footprint to represent the amount of land and sea area required to provide the resources a person needs and to absorb their carbon emissions. According to the calculator, if everyone lived like me, we would need 5.1 Planet Earths to provide enough resources to sustain us all. More specifically, I produce 23.4 tons of carbon dioxide per year and my lifestyle requires 22.7 global acres of the earth's productive area. My footprint breaks down as follows: services that I consume account for 39%, food accounts for 27%, goods for 17%, shelter for 11%, and mobility for 6%. The footprint calculator also made suggestions regarding ways to reduce my impact on the planet. For example, I could reduce the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Saving The Environment Essay When I imagine the world, I imagine a world with blue skies, green grass and trees, crystal water and fresh air. This sounds pretty good, moreover imagine a world where the skies are gone, where trees become scarce and the water is a bonus that just limited people can have it. Where the jungles and the animal species were only part of the history. Imagine a world where all people needs to wear protection like anti–pollutions masks to breathe and special clothes to protect their skin against the UV rays. A world where the planet earth temperature can increase at extremely levels that is impossible to bear for walk or play. In this time, we cannot imagine a world where all the natural resources are gone and consequently the human extension is a reality. These toughs can be just imaginary, but what if they become real? Is it possible that these thoughts really happened? Serious environmental problems are happening at this time. These complications happen for one simple reason, people do not pay attention about the importance of caring the environment and saving natural resources for future generations. There is one activity that includes reusing materials or products to save energy and raw materials, looks like a good solution for all the environmental problems occurring in our planet. Since early ages, people had been learning about the word recycle. Many people know the meaning and the purpose of recycling. As a result, not recycling hurts the marine life as it leaves leftovers behind to rot. This is important because it affects the whole world we live in. Our mess our the result of our world. Transition to 2nd Main Point: I have just finished talking about the problem. Next I will talk about the causes of not recycling. Main Point2: Robert Orben, a comedian writer states "There 's so much pollution in the air now that if it weren 't for our lungs there 'd be no place to put it all". As a result, we should we should start recycling and stop leaving trash behind. This is significant because the problem of not recycling causes pollution. It sends chemicals everywhere to harm the environment. The landfills are taking too much space and releases greenhouse gas, methane. It is 25 more times potent than carbon dioxide. Sub–point B: The causes of not recycling, leaves pollution. Since the advent of the printing press in the 15th century, its use has spread across all continents to the extent that, currently, it is hard to imagine the world without this versatile material. More than 400 million tonnes of paper and cardboard are produced worldwide every year, with more than half coming from recovered sources. Thus recycling of paper plays an important role in meeting the demand for increasing paper use. Recycling used paper and cardboard has significant advantages over other disposal options – namely landfill and incineration. Abstract Since a lot of waste paper is produced in IIST, paper recycling can serve as an economical way to reduce waste and reuse the recovered paper. Since most of the waste in IIST comes from papers (mostly printed A4 sheets and newspapers), recycling of this waste on small

  • 12. Vanessa Romero Professor Lyons English 101 28 November 2017 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! There are many things that get thrown away on a daily basis. Have you ever wondered how the garbage that you are producing everyday affects the planet? Clearly most of the garbage that people throughout the country produce cannot have a positive effect on the planet. Many people don't realize that paper, plastic, and any cans are the most recyclable items out there. One can simply reduce the use of plastic water bottles by buying a refillable water bottle and using that every day to drink your beverages. There are many people that say recycling is a waste of time and the cost for recycling is way too much. Other also say that they don't recycle because they don't think it is worth it or important or they just simply don't care about it at all. Although this may be true, recycling is one of the many things being done to try and reduce the amount of damage being done to the earth. Doing things as simple as buying a refillable water bottle, doing all paperwork electronically, and talking to others about the efforts you have made to make the Earth healthier and cleaner can really make a big change in the amount of garbage produced every day. By doing so, one will not only be recycling, but also reducing the amount of garbage being produced and even find new ways to reuse as much plastic and paper as possible. Many in America are very busy; they have to go to work, to school, complete Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Energy–efficient appliances reduce the use of natural resources while lowering energy and utility bills. Products Eco Friendly, Recyclable and Biodegradable Products Plastics have become an indispensable ingredient to modern life. But the environmentally degradable plastics are finding innumerable opportunities and application. Physical and chemical methods of pollution control were always in the forefront because they were easy to understand, easy to control and were reproducible. Biodegradation is the real mechanism of nature of balancing the material. A better option is to modify the materials, processes and products in such a way that one can rely upon the biodegradation in nature, recalcitrance and bioaccumulation problems are overcome. We are slowly changing our philosophy and are not merely targeting for clean–up or removal of pollutant but are aiming for prevention of pollution or facilitating biodegradation. Bio plastics are biodegradable plastics, whose components are derived from renewable raw materials. These plastics can be made from abundant agricultural/animal resources like cellulose, starch, casein collagen, soy protein polyesters and triglycerides. Large scale use of these would help in preserving non–renewable resources like petroleum, natural gas and coal and contribute little to the

  • 15. Trash Waste Essay A simple chore: "take out the trash". Take the trash bag full of junk, place it in the bin, and let it sit till it's taken away. Now try to picture doing this with the junk in your brain, complicated huh? Reality is, you could never fit all the trash you have ever owned into one trash bag. Our brain is just the same, one trash bag will not fix the full garage of junk we have in our brain. The problem we face as humans are how we compare taking out the literal trash and mental trash. That single trash bag isn't all the trash we have stored in our minds. The first bag of trash is only the light layer upon layers underneath. One thing that strikes my brain while visualizing trash being taken out is, we wait until it's taken away! We are waiting for someone else to pick up our own garbage and take it. It takes years and hard work to empty your trash on a daily basis. In my personal experience, taking out the trash is no easy task. Through the past 3 months of health scares and injuries, I have come to realize that I was never emptying my trash, but I was only moving it to the back of my brain. My family and I went out to New Mexico to hopefully heal what was broken inside. Dr. Hao said something that I refused to believe at that point in time because at sixteen I should have life figured out right? He clearly stated, "You aren't letting anything go." Quickly my brain fired back with this, "what do you mean, I've talked about my problems with counselors, my parents, teachers, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I believe it is something important that everyone should be apart of and do. Too many people are not recycling, which is harmful to the environment. Thesis: Throughout my speech, I want to persuade everyone to start recycling. It is important as it helps reduces the amount of pollution. Preview of Main Points: First, I will explain the problem with not recycling. Next, the causes of the not recycling. Last, the solution and what we can do. Transition to 1st Main Point: To begin, I will explain our problem, not recycling. Main Point 1: According to Richard Fuller, a system theorist, "Pollution is nothing but the resources we are not harvesting. We allow them to disperse because we've been ignorant of their value."written on Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Pathos Of Recycling This article is about a study that conducted an experiment to college undergraduate student in order to show that recycling is not always a good option to have. The intended audience could be anyone for this article. For pathos of the study, the authors did single–blinded test on forty–four college undergraduate students. They brought student separately in to a room, and asked them to test a pair of scissors by cutting papers that are available in the room. For some of them, they have a trash bin in the room and for others, a recycling bin. According to the outcome of the experiment, the authors want to demonstrate that people would waste more when they know that what they are wasting can be recycled. For ethos, the authors put in effort to eliminate errors in the experiment in several ways. They "minimize suspicion by reinforcing the product evaluation component of the task." "Participants were informed that they would be rating the scissors on a variety of dimensions using seven–point semantic differential scales." At the end of the evaluation, they also asked the participants about the setup of the room to make sure the participants realized which type of receptacle they have in the room....show more content... • 18. Essay about Trash Talk Literally let's talk trash, even in an environmental conscience society no one really wants to talk about how they dispose of their garbage and whether they recycle or not. Regardless, the next time you throw something in the trash bin, stop and consider where well your garbage end up, most likely in an over–crowded landfill. According to estimated statistic taken in 2006 "55% (percent) of our waste will be buried in landfills, 33% (percent) will get recycled, and 12% (percent) will be burned in incinerators" (Human Footprint). Our garbage, whether it is buried, burned, or dumped is something that should concern every one of us. Consequently most landfills constructed in the early 1930's were not properly designed to prevent leakage....show more content... Awareness created responsiveness in my home, not to mention the fine associated with non compliance. Recycling needs to be reconsidered for it is earth's last line of defense. It makes more sense to reuse or reprocess materials and cut back on production rather than to manufacture new virgin material. The environmental Defense Fund has noted that "the energy conserved through recycling is about five times as valuable as the average cost of disposing trash in landfills in the US" (Gone Tomorrow 181). As we can see recycling is an intelligent decision it makes good sense, it will help conserve our natural resources and be beneficial to our health and environment. Now we need to analyze recycling objectively in a different light and take notice individually of the real benefits of recycling all of the glass, aluminum cans, plastics, paper products and metals that we consume daily. When we recycle aluminum cans, plastic containers, glass, paper products and metals, we preserve space in our landfills and reduce the use of chemicals. Chemicals are used to try and break down aluminum, glass and some plastics that are almost indestructible. Recycling alone will not solve all our waste issues, although environmentally friendly, it tends to have its flaws. "Recycling does have its technical limits; recycled materials can only be Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Recycling to Preserve Our Environment Essay Many people assume that the environment is not in danger. They believe that as technology advances, we do not need to worry about renewing natural resources, recycling, and finding new ways to produce energy. They state that one person in the world does not make a large difference. In reality, each individual's contribution greatly affects our environment. Our natural resources are slowly disappearing, and we must work together to save them and the Earth from ruin. Recycling is important in the effort to preserve our environment for future generations. We are running out of locations to put landfills. Recycling is a simple and effective way to reduce the amount of waste stored in landfills, yet many people do not know how easy it can...show more content... It seems like a small, insignificant action, but the way I see it, I save money on trash bags while getting a second use out of the plastic bags. Some people would just throw away the bags and buy new trash bags, but doing that would send double the plastic bags to be filled in a landfill. Another simple way to reduce landfill size and preserve resources is to refill water bottles. By refilling water bottles, people save a considerable amount of energy and natural resources by not having to purchase single serve bottles, which are made of nonrenewable petroleum. Additionally, the plastic manufacturing process is associated with toxic byproducts. Most people are reluctant to refill their water bottles because they assume that tap water is not as ?clean? as bottled water. That is a common misconception, however. In 2000, a study in The Archives of Family Medicine compared 57 samples of bottled water to the tap water in Cleveland and found that while 39 samples of the bottled water were cleaner than tap, more than a dozen had at least 10 times the bacterial levels found in the city's water. Tap water is often better regulated than bottled water and has to meet more stringent health standards at both the federal and local levels. According to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protections (NJDEP) Solid Waste Management Plan SectionB.1., ?Source Reduction is the first tier of the solid waste management hierarchy. • 20. How to Make the World a Better Place Breana Arnold Mr. Montera Honors Freshman Lit&Comp 9/26/12 What I Have Done and Will Do to Make the World a Better Place Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! During the 21st century, in the United States there are many good ways the youth can help make the world a better place. Trying to help make the world a better place is very important because one needs the world to live on. One needs to be resourceful with natural resources. I have recycled, picked up trash, participated in community events, and fundraised for important organizations and sports. I will do everything I already do more often, enforce the no bullying policy, plant trees, reduce the amount of electricity I use, and take shorter showers to make the world a better place. In the...show more content... There are many great effects to trying to make the world a better place. Recycling will affect the world in a positive manner because the things one no longer need can be useful to others and it helps lower pollution. Picking up litter in one's neighborhood is very important because, with a nicer community, more people will want to come live there. Participating in community events, not only helps the community as a whole by cleaning it up and donating money, but it also helps the world. Fundraising for important organizations helps the world because organizations like Walking For Cancer helps fundraise for those who can't afford treatment. Destination Imagination helps encourage children's imaginations and thought process. D.A.R.E. helps keep children off drugs and the children are the future of the world. Sports are also very important because they give children a passion to focus on. Reducing bullying will impact the world in a positive way because it will allow students to do their best in school if they aren't constantly worried about what they look like and be more focused on their work. A simple smirk or rude comment can totally ruin someone's day and make them feel terrible about themselves. More trees in the world would help with drought and heat exhaustion because they provide shade and keep the air clean. Trees also provide habitats for many important animals that keep the eco–system in balance. Shorter Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 21. Assessment Test 1: The Proposal Recycling is the process of sorting, gathering and re using waste products to make new material. Virtually everything around us can be recycled or may be made from other recycled products. Materials that can be recycled include: clothing, water, electronics, glass, paper, plastics, food scraps and many more. Reducing, reusing and recycling these materials can help eliminate waste and protect the environment. Our main focuses about sustainability are the three R's Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Getting students to think about and follow these 3 simple steps by reducing what they need, reusing products more than once and recycling them has a huge impact to sustaining our environment as it can reduce waste around the world. Reducing the resources we already have and using just enough or less natural resources helps minimise waste and prevents people from overusing resources. There is no point buying and using more than what's needed once the needs been met as the excess materials become waste. Rethinking about the amount of materials needed in the first place will reduce the excess resources becoming waste (National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, 2014). If the materials are reusable, reuse them if not; give them to someone who can reuse them! Re–using materials again is another great way to save money as you won't have to buy a replacement, repair it or use it for something else and also the that product doesn't have to become waste as Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 22. Essay on Garbage, Recycling, and Waste Management Garbage, Recycling, and Waste Management There are already ways of getting rid of garbage so people won't have to see it or smell it. For example there is incineration, in which trash that can't be recycled is burned. Although this meets the requirements mentioned above it has a downside. The burning itself causeswaste and eventually it will have a bad effect on the environment. Recycling is a good process that reuses materials so they won't be wasted and cause waste. But many products are not recyclable, like plastics. There are a number of ways to solve the dilemma of collection and transportation of municipal solid waste. An underground system of conveyor belts to the dump is a possibility. It would...show more content... But that raises other questions. Obviously, it is evident that this form of disposal does not even dispose of the garbage as much as just simply putting the trash in a garbage can. I think the average person would say that it would be a lot easier to, instead of mining ourselves out of our resources, that it would be more efficient to recycle the parts in our automobiles. That is easier said than done. I think if our politicians were aware of statistics like that, then they would probably be more involved in helping our environment. Laws should be passed that instead of selling a dead car to a junkyard for a couple hundred dollars, that people should have to recycle the materials used on those cars. Maybe there would be perks for doing so, but that would definitely help out this crisis. Before all that can happen though, research needs to be made on how to successfully recycle these materials. Once this can be done, through the cooperation of politicians, scientists, and automobile owners, we will soon be living in a better environment. One of the problems with saying that people need to use more decomposable material is that most family members will not let their kin be buried unless they're buried with class. Decomposable materials, like wood and certain chemicals, would not be considered "classy". Simply put, once people decompose, they do not really need a coffin. If we are able to fashion these decomposable materials into better–looking coffins, I think it will Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Notably, both qualitative and quantitative studies related to how the idea of recycling materials helps conserve the environment will be examined in detailed. Some of these sources will include content drawn from peer–reviewed scholarly articles, periodicals, and books written by renowned experts on the subject. It is worth noting that some of these publications will be concerned with the kind of techniques that contemporary organizations can use as part of efforts aimed at reducing or eliminating sources of waste. For instance, Eltayeb, Zailani, and Ramayah in 2011 observed that the leaderships of modern companies can pursue a variety of methods and use the same to get rid of unnecessary sources of waste. Similarly, Dangelico and Pujari in 2010 noted that a majority of modern firms have to deal with several types of materials that can easily be recycled rather than being discarded into the environment. The research process will also involve an explication of contemporary literature related with some of the companies that have managed to integrate waste recycling into their operations with success. For example, a look at the work written by Zhu, Geng, Fujita and Hashimoto (2010) will provide valuable insight about how multinational corporations having subsidiaries in Japan have managed to use the proposed strategy in minimizing the harm caused by their operations to the environment.
