5. • 5th to 14th day.
• Initially:-
Low Estrogen, Progesterone and Inhibin.
High FSH.

6. • So Estrogen level rises.
• By negative feedback mechanism FSH
• Low FSH will cause Atresia of small
follicles but one follicle (Dominant
Follicle) will reach to its maximum size of
20 mm.

8. • Starts on Day 14
• Steady rise in Estrogen level.
• Results in Estrogen burst which causes
LH surge.(24 to 36 hours)
• Causes LH induced Leutinization of
granulosa cells.
• Progesterone.

9. Androgens increases,
which increases Libido.
Breakdown of follicular
wall
Under the influence of
LH, FSH
and proteolytic
enzymes.

11. • 14th day.
• After the release of ovum in previous
phase now Corpus Lutuem forms.
• Causes Progesterone dominance.

13. •5th-13th day.
•Under the effect of Estrogen
there is glandular and stromal
growth .
•Endometrial thickness increases
from 0.5 mm to 3.5 mm.

15. •13th to 28th day.
•Endometrial glands tortuous.
•Spiral arteries grow.
•Formation of decidua.
•Is under the effect of
Progesteron.

17. • Occurs on Day-1
• Shedding of dead endometrium.
• Withdrawal of Progesterone.
• Loss of tissue fluid.
• Vasoconstriction of Spiral arteriole.
• Distal ischemia.
• Bleeding ceases after 5-10 days.
