Structure: Subject + has/have + verb

Structure:
Subject + hasn´t / haven´t + verb (past participle) +
complement.
Hasn’t = he / she / it. Haven’t = I / you / we / they

You haven’t done anything useful all day.
It hasn´t been perfect.
He hasn’t done the homework.
You haven´t gone home yet.

Have / has + subject + verb (pp) + complement

Has she done her homework? Yes, she has. No, she hasn´t.
Have we taken the class? Yes, we have. No, we haven´t.

"For" + period of time.
For ten years, for a month, for a week, for two hours, for hours
I have studied at La Salle for ten years.
"Since" + specific time.
Since last week, since this morning, since yesterday
since I was a child, since Wednesday, since 2 o'clock.
I have worked at La Anahuac since 2021.
6. "Present perfect" with "for“
I have been in love for 6 months.
We have been at this school for a long time.
My parents have been married for 35 years.
She has been at the hotel for a week.
You have lived here for twenty years.
7. "Present perfect" with "since“
I have been in love since April.
We have been at this school since 2019.
My parents have been married since April 1985.
She has lived here since 1980.
You have studied here since 2018.

"Since" + specific time.
Since last week, since this morning, since yesterday
since I was a child, since Wednesday, since 2 o'clock.
I have worked at La Salle since 2019.
I have studied in La Anahuac since 2016.
You have gone to Nagora since 2020.
You have learned/learnt English since January.
9. "Present perfect" with "for“
I have been in love for 6 months.
We have been at this school for a long time.
My parents have been married for 35 years.
She has been at the hotel for a week.
You have lived here for twenty years.
My student has studied English for two weeks.
10. "Present perfect" with "since“
I have been in love since April.
We have been at this school since 2019.
My parents have been married since April 1985.
She has lived here since 1980.
You have studied here since 2018.
